Heather Gay Admits She Doesn’t Know “How to Fix” Friendship With Whitney Rose
Plus, the RHOSLC 'Wife reveals what she still doesn't "really understand" about their ongoing feud.
It seems a reconciliation between The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, aka "Bad Weather," won't be in the forecast anytime soon.
During an interview on Us Weekly’s "Getting Real with the Housewives" December 16 episode, Heather said that their tight relationship "disappeared overnight," adding, "I feel like our friendship just went up in smoke and I’m not sure how to repair that."
"I still don't even really understand what I'm doing wrong and, like, how to fix it. I think that I’ve been really frustrated and I've done things that are out of character for me when I get really frustrated and kind of pushed to my limit," she elaborated to Us. "I don't want to ever scream at the people I love. I don't want to ever yell obscenities at anyone and I also just want to be in a good place with everyone in my life, my friends and my dearest friends, of course."
Part of the issue, according to Heather — who's been "watching the episodes along with America" — is that she's yet to hear her former BFF "even acknowledge anything about the things she said" about her. "The more I hear her say about me in confessionals and behind my back, the harder it is for me to understand how … she ever liked me in the first place, honestly."
Plus, the Beauty Lab + Laser owner said she's been "redefining" several of her relationships. "I’m becoming a different person," Heather explained to Us. "I just feel like I am starting to value the people that are in my life consistently, and that makes it hard for me to look at our friendship."
Heather also gave an update on her and Whitney's feud on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October. "It makes me sad. It's absolutely sincere and I feel horrible about the state of our relationship," she shared.
Weeks later, Whitney, for her part, hinted at where things stood with Heather on the November 9 WWHL episode. While comparing her friendships with her cousin and Lisa Barlow during a game of "It’s Now or Never with Lisa and Heather," she said Heather is guilty of talking about the other women behind their backs and has also let fame get to her head more than the other cast members.
Here's hoping for sunnier skies ahead.
