Robyn Dixon Explains Why She Wants a Prenup Before Second Wedding to Juan Dixon
The RHOP cast member revealed the news to Charrisse Jackson-Jordan.
The Real Housewives of Potomac has chronicled the ups and downs of Robyn Dixon and Juan Dixon’s relationship for the past six years, including the high point that was their surprise proposal back in 2019. Now, the couple’s wedding is finally coming to fruition — but not without a caveat.
As Robyn revealed during RHOP’s supersize Season 7 premiere, “I want to talk to Juan about possibly getting a prenup.”
She made the confession to Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, who followed up by asking if they had signed a prenup the first time they got married, in 2005. The answer? Yes, but Juan was the one who had asked Robyn. Now, as she put it, Robyn is “the breadwinner” and “the roles are reversed.”
“I don’t believe, in a divorce, I don’t think the person who makes less money, I don’t think that they should automatically get half,” she explained. “They didn’t earn that half.”
“When Juan was in the NBA, I was a housewife,” Robyn continued. “And even our prenup, I didn’t think I deserved half of what he made.”
And now that she’s not “sitting at home relying on Juan’s income,” she doesn’t think he “deserves” half of hers. “No,” she added in a confessional. “We ain’t doing that.”
Whether or not Juan knows they’re not doing that is still TBD!
