Jennifer Fessler “Felt Like S--t” for Doing This to Teresa Giudice

Margaret Josephs has been open about her decision to leave Teresa Giudice and Luis “Louie” Ruelas’ wedding early as a show of solidarity with Joe and Melissa Gorga, but it turns out she wasn’t the only one from The Real Housewives of New Jersey to do so.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, Jennifer Fessler revealed she did the same — but looking back, she wishes she hadn’t. “I did leave the wedding early with Margaret, which, in retrospect, I shouldn’t have done and I regret,” Jennifer shared. “And I actually reached out to Teresa and apologized to her about it after the fact.”
At the time, Jennifer thought she was “juggling” her loyalty to Melissa — who, along with her husband/Teresa’s brother, Joe, skipped the wedding entirely — and still being respectful to Teresa. “[I was] trying to figure out what the right thing is. And I had become really, really close with Melissa and felt terrible for her. Like, OK, maybe I can do this and Melissa will feel like I’m supporting her,” Jennifer explained. “But at least where I’m sitting, I had no right going to a wedding and making any kind of statement. So, I really felt like s--t about that.”
Thankfully, after Jennifer said she was sorry, Teresa was “very gracious,” the Season 13 newcomer said. “She was really nice about accepting my apology.”
Further discussing her friendship with Teresa, Jennifer said that while she was and still is “very, very close” with Melissa, she and Teresa have managed to share several sweet moments together. As Jennifer put it, “I had some deep conversations with Teresa that I didn’t expect. Really nice, deep conversations.”
When it comes to the drama between the sisters-in-law, Jennifer admitted it’s “really tricky.”
“At times I really understood where Teresa was coming from. She was really open with me about what she was going through,” Jennifer explained, adding that at the same time, “I really love Melissa and understand how she felt and feels.”
The comments are similar to those Jennifer and Rachel Fuda made last month on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after the host asked the two, “Are y’all Team Melissa or Team Teresa based on what you know and your experiences?”
“I’m 54 years old,” Jennifer responded. “I don’t do the ‘team’ thing anymore.”
