Gia Giudice Confronts Joe Gorga About His Joe Giudice Comments
The RHONJ relatives finally come face-to-face in this exclusive preview of the February 8 episode.
Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey has only just begun, but we've already been hearing a lot about some upcoming drama between Gia Giudice and her uncle, Joe Gorga.
It was revealed in the RHONJ Season 12 premiere, which aired on February 1, that there was a rift in Joe's relationship with his nieces following comments he made about their dad, Joe Giudice, last season. And when Gia appeared as the guest bartender on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on February 1, she teased an upcoming moment between her and Joe that even she "was a little surprised" by.
Well, we're finally seeing exactly what transpires between Gia and Joe, thanks to the above Bravo Insider exclusive first look at the February 8 episode of RHONJ. The clip shows the continuation of Teresa Giudice's already-drama-filled pool party in which Gia confronts Joe about the comments he made about her father. "People get hurt and people get offended by things that other people say, but this is why people just shouldn't open their mouth in the first place," she says. "Just like Dad didn't deserve it either."
After a things turn tense between the niece and uncle, Joe walks away, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, tries to defuse the situation. "He can't f--king believe that you would even give him an attitude. He's in shock," Melissa explains to Gia. "He loves you like he loves [his daughter] Antonia. He understands that your dad comes first, but he doesn't understand, you know what I'm saying? He'd die for you."
As Gia goes to speak to Joe, Teresa clarifies where her daughter is coming from to Melissa. "The closest person to her father was my brother. She loves him," Teresa says. "That's why she's hurt, too."
When Joe and Gia resume their conversation, the RHONJ uncle addresses his reaction to what his niece had to say moments before. "It wasn't nice, so you got me aggravated," Joe tells Gia, before revealing, "Here's my problem..."
