Dolores Reacts to Teresa’s Bridesmaid Drama and Reveals the Root of Her Issue with Dina Manzo
The RHONJ cast member shared whether she was hurt when Teresa asked her to be a bridesmaid just a few weeks before the wedding.
Teresa Giudice added “something new” to her wedding lineup when she asked her The Real Housewives of New Jersey castmates Dolores Catania and Jennifer Aydin to be bridesmaids just a few weeks before she exchanged vows with Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
On the April 4 episode of RHONJ Season 13, Jennifer and Dolores told the other ladies about their inclusion in the wedding party. “[Teresa] called while we were together and said that while she was meditating about her wedding, she pictured Jennifer and I being in the wedding,” Dolores said to the other ’Wives.
As Jennifer Fessler soon pointed out, Teresa had “lost a bridesmaid” when Dina Manzo ended up not attending the August nuptials. When Dolores was asked about Dina during an interview in the episode, the mom of two said she was “not talking about Dina, ever.”
However, Dolores did talk about the RHONJ alum and the bridesmaid drama when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after the episode aired.
During a game of “Reasonable or Shady,” host Andy Cohen asked Dolores if it was fair that Teresa included her in the wedding party “but not Melissa [Gorga] and only after Dina dropped out.”
Dolores voted that it was a “reasonable” thing for Teresa to do, and she later revealed whether she felt like she was Teresa’s “second choice.”
“No, I didn’t,” she answered when asked if she felt like a last-minute option. “I didn’t feel that way at all.”
Dolores reiterated during the RHONJ After Show (which you can watch below) that she was “totally” OK with the fact that she was asked to be in the wedding party just a few weeks before the big day. Melissa also claimed during the After Show that Dolores wasn’t initially a bridesmaid because “Dolores and Dina don’t get along.”
Dolores explained on WWHL why she isn’t friends with Dina.
“You know, there are no issues. We just kind of separated ways and our friendship just dissipated. That’s all,” Dolores said. “We never got in a fight. That’s the truth.”
