Dolores Catania Gets Real About Her Birthday: "Turning 50 Can Be Overwhelming"
The RHONJ cast member reflected on her life in a touching message to her loved ones and supporters.
Dolores Catania is celebrating a major milestone. The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member just turned 50, and she opened up about her special birthday in a gracious December 28 Instagram post.
Alongside a stunning photo of herself rocking a white suit with a leopard and lace top as she holds a massive bouquet of roses, Dolores reflected on her life as she heads into year 50.
“Although this isn’t how I imagined spending my 50th birthday, the amount of amazing wishes I have received from everyone has made this an exceptional day so far. Although, I’m sure many can agree, turning 50 can be overwhelming in a sense, you really never begin to face the reality that life is an ever-ticking clock that waits for no one, and if you don’t do what makes you happy, you’re wasting one of our precious resources…time,” she wrote.
“With that said, I’ve allocated a lot of my own time to reflect on what makes me happy,” Dolores continued. “The quality people around me and my ability to use my experiences to help others is what has allowed me to look at a milestone like today with gratitude and know that those 50 years of my life, no matter how tough some may have been, were all years well spent, because they brought me here. I want to thank everyone reading this who has played any type of role of positivity in my life (whether it was helping to raise me, donating to one of my events, or just speaking good unto my name). You all play a role in my happiness.”
Dolores then took the opportunity to share some inspirational words of wisdom with her Instagram followers: “Learn from those around you, and do the things that make YOU feel fulfilled, because this is your life and you only get one. Make this your best year yet and remember one of the best gifts we have been given is to be able to give of ourselves.”
