Paul “Paulie” Connell was feeling the luck of the Irish on his birthday. The Irishman, who is dating The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Dolores Catania, completed another year around the sun on June 27, and Dolores commemorated the occasion by sharing a heartfelt post for her beau.
Her RHONJ castmates also sent their love to Paulie on his special day, which came about a month after the Jersey ladies and their men wrapped up a dramatic reunion for Season 13. Dolores Catania’s Birthday Tribute for Paul Connell
The mom of two took to Instagram to show some love to her boyfriend on his birthday. Dolores shared a carousel of photos and a video — including a selfie, a montage of Paulie moments from throughout their relationship, and a couples shot of the two — to celebrate the day.
“Happy Birthday to everyone’s favorite Irishman,” Dolores wrote in the caption of her post. “We love you every [day], but today we celebrate you and the amazing man that you are.”
She went on to share some of the things she loves most about Paulie.
“There is no one more handsome, generous, and authentic than you. Thank you for being my partner in this crazy world[.] I love you,” Dolores concluded, before sharing several heart emojis and a hashtag for their couple name: Paulores.
Paulie and Dolores capped off his birthday celebration by going out to dinner at Roots Steakhouse in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Dolores’ daughter, Gabby Catania, was in attendance, as were Paul’s two sons from his past marriage.
Paulie also took to his own Instagram feed to mark his birthday with a post.
“Birthdays are milestones on where we’re coming from and where we are going,” he captioned the photo, which was taken at the steakhouse. “It’s nice to take a little look back over the past year and see all the wonderful things that have happened. I’m very grateful for my family, my beautiful kids, my Dolores and my new extended family for making me feel super special not just today on my birthday, but every day, and thank you to everybody for all the nice wishes and messages. It means so much. Thank you.”
Though Dolores’ son, Frankie Catania, wasn’t at Roots to celebrate Paulie’s birthday in person, he took to his Instagram Stories to wish his mom’s beau well.
“Happy birthday to the man [Paul O’Connell],” Frankie wrote in his post. “Hope you had a great one.”
The RHONJ Cast’s Messages for Paul Connell
Dolores wasn’t the only person from the RHONJ cast to celebrate Paulie on his birthday. Melissa wrote, “Happy Birthday Paulie!! Have the best birthday,” in a comment on Dolores’ post. Her mom, Donna Marco, wished a “handsome” Paulie a happy birthday as well.
“Happy Birthday Paulie,” Teresa added in another comment. “[H]ave the best birthday ever. Wishing you many blessings.”
Teresa’s daughter Gia simply wished the New Jersey resident a “Happy Birthday,” and Jennifer Aydin’s “Happy Birthday Paulie!!” message echoed the sentiment.
Margaret Josephs posted, “Happy birthday Paulie!! Wishing you a fabulous year ahead,” and her close pal Jenn Fessler wrote, “Happy birthday sweet Paulie! Enjoy your day with your gorgeous girl.”
Though tensions were high on the RHONJ Season 13 reunion set, it appears that Paulie is still on good terms with most of the ’Wives.
