Taking a Closer Look at The Real Housewives of Miami's Most Explosive Moments
From engagement party blowups to vacation meltdowns, Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Miami brought the drama.
Fiery tempers, intense emotions, and hard truths have made The Real Housewives of Miami a TV phenomenon.
Though many years passed between Seasons 3 and 4, the reality show came back with a vengeance when it premiered on Peacock in December 2021. Alexia Nepola, Lisa Hochstein, and Larsa Pippen returned as Housewives, alongside newcomers Guerdy Abraira, Julia Lemigova, and Nicole Martin. Rounding out the cast as a friend of the show were Adriana de Moura, Marysol Paton, and Kiki Barth. Together, the cast proved that Miami was back and better than ever.
For nineteen episodes of Season Five, viewers were swept up in a whirlwind of engagement celebrations, beach vacations, and dinner parties where the drama never stopped. Here’s a look back at the most explosive Miami moments.

Season 6, Episode 1
The season kicked off on a hopeful note of “good energy” with Larsa’s New Beginnings housewarming party after her divorce from former NBA player Scottie Pippen. But before she could pop the Champagne, Lisa started spreading rumors that Larsa’s building was home to, well, women engaged in the oldest profession. Larsa shot back with her own jab: Lisa needed to rent her Star Island home to pay the mortgage. Cue the mayhem. The yelling began over cocktails in Larsa’s penthouse apartment and continued in the lobby, where Lisa quipped, “This party should be called the new beating party, not the new beginnings party because I’m getting a mental beatdown from Larsa.”
Season 6, Episode 2
It's a beautiful scene: a post-nuptial celebration for Alexia and her new husband, Todd Nepola, on a gorgeous yacht in the sparkling Miami harbor. But as the ship’s horn blew in Episode 2, all decorum went out the window between Lisa and Larsa, longtime besties who were in seriously rocky waters. Lisa accused Larsa of stealing people’s husbands and angrily pointed in her face, yelling, “You need to lighten up!” Meanwhile, Larsa stood her ground, saying she worked hard for her home and her feelings were hurt.
Season 5, Episode 6
By Episode 6, a relaxing escape to the Florida Keys to celebrate Alexia’s birthday is just what everyone needed — or so we thought. Leave it to Marysol to stir things up with a “party game” of provocative conversation cards. As part of the game, Alexia pointed to Julia as the most likely to be a prostitute. The following day, on the way to breakfast, the former Miss USSR set her straight about this ridiculous cultural stereotype. Adriana entered the fray, bringing up the drug charges against Alexia’s ex-husband and asking her about the “cocaine cowboy” stereotype. Alexia then lost it on Adriana, implying she’s a homewrecker for dating a married man, setting the stage for a future explosive Miami moment.
Season 5, Episode 8
The ladies convene once again on a yacht in Episode 8, but this time to act as backup dancers in Adriana’s "Fyah" music video. When Alexia proclaimed, “I’m a star. I was born a star,” in Episode 6, it was too much for Guerdy, who visibly rolled her eyes at Alexia’s hubris. On the yacht, Alexia confronted Guerdy about the incident. But it wasn't just about eye-rolling; Guerdy was let go as Alexia’s original wedding planner, and bad feelings were still bubbling up. “They were fighting like pit bulls, and now they’re crying,” noted Nicole. Luckily, these two reconciled… for now.

Season 5, Episode 9
Larsa and Nicole have always been chilly, but Episode 9 brought an arctic blast. Larsa told the anesthesiologist: “I heard crazy things about you. I heard you hooked up with every doctor in the hospital.” Nicole immediately disinvited Larsa to her upcoming engagement party in an exceptionally snarky (and creative) way – a small mirror delivered to her door with the words, “Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fake one of all?” Later at the engagement party, Nicole huddled with her RHOM ladies to defend herself against Larsa’s accusations, though Alexia and Marysol weren't convinced. “I could lose my job for that dumbass accusation. That is not true,” Nicole said.
Season 5, Episode 10
Alexia hosted a luncheon that quickly spiraled into chaos in Episode 10. During the previous weeks, Alexia had accused Adriana of dating a married man, providing internet research to supposedly prove it. Turned out, Alexia didn’t scroll all the way to the bottom of the page to see that the man was recently divorced. The ladies can’t even lunch before Adriana and Alexia clash, which then has a ripple effect at the table. Soon, Larsa and Nicole are rehashing old accusations, and daggers fly. Hoping for guidance, Nicole threw her black AMEX at two attorneys in attendance.
Season 5, Episode 13
The RHOM ladies took off to a luxurious resort with an unusual amenity: a spiritual healer who conducts “rage release rituals” in the evening. But by Episode 13, these ladies don’t need nudging when it comes to rage release. Already that day, Adriana, feeling left out, spewed some hurtful gossip about Marysol’s ex-boyfriend. By evening, tensions were running high, and when Larsa confronted Adriana about the hurtful words, Adriana threw her drink. Soon after, the ladies screamed into the night sky on the beach during the rage “treatment,” where Guerdy and Kiki got carried away and tumbled into Adriana’s, hurting her foot. Does Season 6 top these highs and lows? We'll let you decide.
