Alexia Nepola Clears Up How She Really Knows Louie Ruelas
The RHOM cast member revealed whether Louie ever asked her on a date.
During Part 1 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion, which aired in May 2023, Melissa Gorga made a comment that Teresa Giudice's husband, Luis "Louie" Ruelas, had a surprising connection to another 'wife from a different city.
“He knew who you were when he met you… He knows Alexia too,” Melissa said, referring to The Real Housewives of Miami's Alexia Nepola. “He knew you guys.”
Later it was claimed that Louie wanted to go on a date with Alexia, though the Melissa clarified that it was "before he met [Teresa]."
Alexia cleared up the speculation and she shared how she actually knows Louie when she appeared on the November 1 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Alexia Nepola Reveals How She Met Louie Ruelas
During the episode, a fan asked if Louie had tried to ask Alexia out before he met Teresa. Alexia responded, "Of course not; absolutely not."
She then shared the story of her first interaction with the businessman, which took place when she was with her now-husband, Todd Nepola.
"We saw each other in Barcelona, but I was with Todd. Before he was with Teresa," she said, which you can check out by watching the clip at the top of this post. "He knew who I was [from RHOM]."
"We were just talking, we were staying in the same hotel, and he was just being nice and friendly," she clarified. "You know, I get a lot of attention because of my kids... he can relate to my journey, so he came to me to speak to me and say what a great mom I was."
Alexia and Todd ran into Louie again shortly thereafter.
"For whatever reason, we saw each other again in some other country that we were traveling [in] at the same time," she continued. "We were traveling somewhere else [and] I was with Todd the entire time, so Todd saw the whole thing. It wasn't like he was hitting on me, he was just talking to me."
The Miami native doesn't understand why people are suspicious of her connection to Louie.
"I don't know why anyone thinks anything of it, because I didn't," she continued. "You know, I meet a lot of nice people and friends, and I don't think anything of it... I don't get it. Why does anybody want to make it more than what it is?"
After Alexia and Todd got to know Louie, he ended up meeting Teresa at the Jersey Shore.
"It's nothing, but people are suspecting that he had an agenda, and he knew who she was... I don't think that way," she said. "I think he, of course, knew who she was."

Now that Louie and Teresa are married (and Alexia was in attendance for the big day back in August 2022), the two couples have remained close.
"He ended up with Teresa, and now we're all friends, and everything is great," she concluded on WWHL.
