Tamra Judge Reveals How Not Having Kids “Together” Has Affected Her Marriage to Eddie
The RHOC cast member dishes on her relationship with Eddie Judge like never before.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County know that Tamra Judge has let them in on all aspects of her life — from being a mom to being an entrepreneur to her relationship with her husband, Eddie Judge. In fact, they were even invited to their wedding on Tamra's OC Wedding. And while Tamra has four kids, she and Eddie never had any kids together.
While speaking to The Daily Dish in a phone interview earlier this year about Season 2 of Peacock’s The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (currently airing on Bravo, more above), she opened up about some of the secrets of their lasting marriage, and she also revealed how not having children together has affected their relationship dynamic.
“It was weird in that, I mean, it sounds so cliché, but when I met him, I just saw stars,” she said. “I saw everything that they say you see when you just meet that guy of your dreams, and it’s never been any different. We are best friends, we get along great.”
She noted that it’s not always perfect (“we have our ups and downs, and we have our arguments here and there”), but she added, “For the most part, we get each other. We like doing the same things, we work out, we go dirt biking together, we can go camping, we can stay at bougie hotels. We travel.”
She continued, “We just have fun together, and we respect each other. We give each other our space. I don’t tell him what to do; he doesn’t tell me what to do. [We] have respect for each other, so I think that’s what makes it work. The other thing is we don’t have kids together, and I feel like sometimes when you have kids together, it’s just one more thing to argue about.”
While they don’t have kids with each other, Eddie has been an important part of Tamra’s kids’ lives for more than a decade. “He’s known Sophia since she was a baby,” Tamra said. “But he never really overstepped his boundaries, you know? He knew that the kids have their father, and he never wanted to step on any toes. So, he wasn’t one of those overbearing, do as I say type[s] of stepdad.”
Fans will soon get to go home again with Tamra and Eddie, as it was confirmed over the summer that she is returning to RHOC for the upcoming new season. At BravoCon 2022, Tamra shared a little more insight into her life with Eddie, revealing that fans should expect to see him get caught up in the drama of Season 17. You can hear all about it below.
