Shannon Storms Beador Addresses Recent Reunion with Ex-Boyfriend John Janssen
The RHOC mom was spotted hanging out with her former beau during a “fun night with friends.”
Shannon Storms Beador is setting the record straight.
The Real Housewives of Orange County mom caused a bit of a stir this weekend when she was seen hanging out with her ex-boyfriend John Janssen. Shannon’s castmate Tamra Judge confirmed the unexpected reunion via Instagram on Friday, April 21, when she posted a photo of herself and her husband, Eddie Judge, posing alongside Shannon, John, and other friends. The former gym owner also shared footage of the “OC crew” engaging in conversation and having a few laughs at dinner. One of the clips showed Shannon playfully trying to feed John a bite of dessert, while Tamra was heard in the background shouting, “John, take it like a man!”
The get-together, which went down at Tao Asian Bistro in Los Angeles, immediately set off a wave of questions in Tamra’s comments section. While many fans suspected the former couple had rekindled their romance, Shannon was quick to squash those rumors.
The next morning, Shannon reshared the aforementioned group photo and clarified that her relationship with John is strictly platonic: “Fun night with friends…,” she captioned the post, adding the hashtag, “We are not back together.”
Shannon announced her breakup with John back in January, more than three years after they started dating. The mother of three told People magazine she was “blindsided” by the split, as she was convinced they were “in a great place.”
“He told me he was done with the relationship. And to hear what he said to me then was absolutely devastating,” she recalled in a January 11 article. “I’ve never loved anyone more in my life. I was hopeful this was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work out. I’ve never loved anyone like I’ve loved John. But clearly, he didn’t feel the same way.”
The RHOC mom has since confirmed there is a new man in her life, but has kept details to a minimum.
Shannon and Tamra said they were in L.A. to film a Celebrity Family Feud episode, which will feature the OC ladies going head-to-head with The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast. Shereé Whitfield also met up with Shannon and Tamra at Tao and engaged in some lighthearted banter about which team would emerge victorious.
“We’re gonna win,” RHOA’s Shereé said in a video. “Wanna bet?”
