Meghan King Reveals Who She Experienced a "Special Moment" with on New Year's Eve
The RHOC alum opened up about how she was feeling heading into 2022 following her split from Cuffe Owens.
Meghan King's 2021 was full of ups and downs for The Real Housewives of Orange County alum.
After heading into last year with the hopes of finalizing her divorce from Jim Edmonds, Meghan ultimately found love again in Cuffe Owens, whom she married in October. But just a little more than two months later, Meghan confirmed that she and Cuffe had separated.
Still, Meghan headed into 2022 full of optimism. She gave fans a glimpse at her New Year's Eve celebration with her family, including 5-year-old daughter Aspen and 3-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes, counting down to 2022 on a beach in Florida. In a video posted to Instagram on December 31, Meghan instructs her children, whom she shares with ex-husband Jim, on how to count down from 10 to the new year. At their mom's encouragement, Aspen, Hart, and Hayes excitedly bang on pots at the conclusion of their countdown, followed by hugs and kisses for all to ring in 2022.
"My favorite New [Year's] Eve of all time! Celebrating 2022 at the crack of 7pm on the beach with my kids and my mom + dad, peripherally including our special moment with a stranger and her telling us we made her year (and here I thought we were disturbing her silent moment alone. You never know what someone is going through), and now drinking wine with my sister and downloading from our day on the beach… none of it includes makeup, fancy clothing, coiffed hair, or even shoes for that matter," Meghan said of the clip. "I feel the energy of 2022 invigorating my soul, and I’m so ready to start a new year with the thrill I felt with my kiddos tonight. Who’s with me?!"
Meghan was similarly energized as she shared her "2022 resolution" on December 30. "I’m gonna mom the s--t outta this year," she wrote in a post on Instagram that featured a photo of her kids smiling on the beach. "Top that. Go ahead, whadya got."
After confirming her breakup with Cuffe last week, Meghan has been all about family, spending Christmas at home in St. Louis before jetting off to end the year at her parents' condo in Florida, which she has been documenting on Instagram, including an adorable photo of Aspen having some fun in the sun. "Her light shines so bright she’s gotta wear shades," Meghan captioned a photo of her daughter looking too cool while rocking a swimsuit, hat, and sunglasses in a post on Instagram on January 1.
It looks like Meghan's kids are giving her strength during this difficult time, as well as activities like yoga, as evidenced by a video the RHOC alum posted on January 3. "Warrior your way through your first day back to real life in 2022. It’s gonna be ok," Meghan said of the clip. "We will do this even if we look or feel silly at times and even if the world is watching. We are [in this] together. I love you."
