Looking for Marriage Advice? Here's What Heather Dubrow Is Sharing About Her Relationship with Terry
The RHOC cast member also opened up about her life as a mom in a revealing Q&A with fans.
Heather Dubrow's love for her family is undeniable. The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member always finds an occasion to open up about how much she cares for her kids and husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow. And, that was definitely the case during a recent Q&A session with fans.
And, no topic was off-limits, including her marriage advice. "[You] must have date night. Must learn to fight well," she said.
She also reflected on the early days of her relationship with Terry, including revealing how they met one another all those years ago. "On a blind date at Ivy at the Shore in Santa Monica," Heather, who hails from New York, recalled, adding, "What's so funny is he hated New York when I first met him. He didn't get it. And so we'd go back there, he's like 'it's dirty and it's this and it's that.' And then, I don't remember what trip it was, but it was some press trip that we went on. And, it just clicked for him. And all of a sudden he got it. And now he loves New York. "
Of course, Heather is also a proud mom. She often documents her four kids' various achievements and shares with fans updates on what is happening in their lives on social media. One of the more memorable moments came in 2020 when she showed her support for her daughter, Max Dubrow, who came out as bisexual. Heather shared with fans that she felt "love, happy" when Max shared the news. "I wasn't surprised. We didn't care. I was like 'great, that's amazing. Love you. Awesome," Heather said.
Since then, Max has released a book, I'll Give It to You Straightish: What Your Teen Wants You to Know (the book party was featured in the January 12 episode of RHOC, more on that in the Bravo Insider clip above). And, Heather, obviously, couldn't be prouder of the teen. "It's amazing. Watching Max take a dark time in her life and turn it into a way to try and help others, what more do you want to see from your child?" Heather said. "So proud."
