Kyle Richards & Mauricio Umansky Address “Untrue” Claims About Their Marriage
The RHOBH cast member and the real estate broker share where their relationship stands amid a “challenging” and “rough” year.
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are responding to recent reports about their marriage.
“In regards to the news that came out about us today… Any claims regarding us divorcing are untrue,” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and her real estate broker husband wrote in a July 4 statement on Instagram, referencing a People report that they had separated. “However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously.”
“There has been no wrongdoing on anyone’s part,” the statement continued. “Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately. While it may be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative.”
The Agency founder and Kyle tied the knot in 1996, about two years after they met at a Los Angeles nightclub. The pair have three daughters together — Alexia, Sophia, and Portia Umansky — and Kyle is also a mom to Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie.
Kyle Richards’ Past Comments on Her Marriage
When Kyle, Mauricio, and RHOBH’s Dorit Kemsley attended the 31st Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party in March 2023, Kyle sounded off on the rumors that her marriage wasn’t in the best place.
“The analyzing of everything is so… we were just talking about that in the car,” she said. “I’m seen out at the gym without a ring on, or the rumors about weight loss. I just… I can’t keep up anymore, and I was just telling [Dorit] in the car ride over that I don’t even care anymore… All I know is my anxiety is better than it’s ever been and I just… I just can’t stress about it anymore.”
Just a few weeks later, Mauricio appeared on a podcast, and he denied that he and Kyle were splitting up.
“We’re not getting divorced. I mean, it’s so dumb,” he said. “That one stupid story that came out there…”
Her Recent Message for Mauricio
Just a few weeks before the separation was reported, Kyle took to Instagram to share a Father’s Day post for her “incredible” spouse.
“Happy Father’s Day [Mauricio,] so grateful that our girls have such an incredible Dad,” Kyle began the caption of her post. “Leading them with love and instilling in them to be adventurous and live life to the fullest,” she continued, adding a red heart emoji. “Always there for them and not knowing how to say ‘no.’ They would definitely agree you get the best Dad award.”
Mauricio replied to the post, writing, “Thank you” along with three heart emojis.
