What the Beverly Hills Housewives Think of Kyle Richards’ Friendship with Morgan Wade
“If they’re gonna talk, you might as well give them something to talk about,” said the 90210 O.G. while shooting a music video with her country-singing friend.
Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills continue to respond to the much-talked-about friendship between Kyle Richards and Morgan Wade, and they’re not the only ones.
Followers of the RHOBH ladies have been getting tiny morsels of what’s to come in Season 13 – premiering Wednesday, October 25 at 8/7c on Bravo — in light of a blossoming bond making headlines simultaneously to reports of Kyle’s split from her husband, Mauricio Umansky.
All parties involved have cautioned the public from believing what’s circulating in the press, but some might be gleaned from RHOBH Season 13’s First Look and what the other Housewives have to say.
The O.G. Housewife of the 90210 and the rising country music star have kept busy since forming a friendship through Instagram in 2022. Kyle said she “stalked” Wade on social media after becoming an instant fan of Wade’s music (namely “Wilder Days”) when hearing her during a solo drive from Utah to Colorado.
Kyle was surprised to see what Wade looked like, “and then she sent me a D.M. asking me why I was following her,” according to Kyle.

Over the summer, the pair made a “campy and fun” music video called “Fall in Love with Me,” a story in which Kyle’s character vies for the love and attention of her neighbor, played by Wade. Despite news of his and Kyle’s decision to separate, even Mauricio commented on the video with fire emojis on Instagram.
More recently, Kyle and Wade traveled to Paris as a documentary was created to film part of Wade’s European tour, which Kyle called “a great shoot.”
The friendship between Kyle and Wade has rumor mills cranking, especially as marital troubles brew between Kyle and Mauricio, as seen in the upcoming RHOBH Season 13’s First Look.
When discussing the music video and the subsequent swirling rumors, Kyle said in a behind-the-scenes look, “If they’re gonna talk, you might as well give them something to talk about.”
What the rest of the Housewives have to say about Morgan Wade
The diamond-toting Garcelle Beauvais has yet to comment on Kyle and Wade’s seemingly inseparable friendship. However, she did have a “holy sh-t” moment regarding news of Kyle and Mauricio’s split in the upcoming season preview.
“Sutton and I were suspicious,” Garcelle said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
She added that she texted Kyle to check in on her and that Kyle said she was “hanging in there.”
Sutton Stracke had more to say in the RHOBH teaser, saying that every time she went online, she found “cheating” rumors surrounding Kyle and her husband of 27 years. She added, “Where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
But more recently, the southern socialite wondered, “Aren’t we bored with it?” when asked to comment on rumors surrounding Kyle and Wade on the Namaste B$tches podcast, hosted by The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice.
In a September 2023 interview with US Weekly, Sutton added that she had the chance to see Wade perform and that there was “more to come” this season.
“She’s great,” Sutton said of Wade’s musical performance. “She’s got a great voice.”
Sutton went on to say that Kyle “had a rough year,” but she will continue to have Kyle’s back through thick and thin.
In April, Kyle hosted a musical event in Los Angeles to honor her late best friend and raise mental health awareness, as shown on the Housewife’s Instagram. She posted a photo of herself with Wade — who performed at the event with a pink guitar — and Kyle’s sister and former Housewife Kim Richards, who, along with Wade, will be appearing in RHOBH Season 13.
Garcelle commented that it was “a lovely event,” while Crystal Kung Minkoff called the tribute “incredibly moving.”
Even RHOBH newcomer Annemarie Wiley sent her love for “shining light” at the fundraiser, which was also attended by Dorit, Sutton, and former O.G. and upcoming RHOBH guest Camille Grammer.
Over the summer, Erika Jayne addressed Kyle-related rumors when sitting with Pride’s Ricky Cornish but said she would “let Kyle speak for herself.”
Citing her past legal woes, Erika said, “I remember a lot of people having comments, and it’s just not anyone else’s place to comment on her marriage about her.”
Dorit Kemsley said in the RHOBH First Look that she “had no idea” about Kyle and Mauricio’s decision to part ways, but she was surprised to learn that Wade allowed Kyle to tattoo her initial onto Wade’s arm, as filmed in Season 13.
Former B.H. ‘Wife Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave is a fan of Kyle and Wade’s bond, as shown in an Instagram comment on Kyle and Wade’s behind-the-scenes look of “Fall in Love with Me.”
“If you can’t beat ‘em, troll ‘em!” Teddi wrote on Wade’s post. “You ladies look [fire emoji], can’t wait for the video!”
In an IG post by Kyle on August 1, 2023, from Aspen, Colorado, Kyle said she had the “best time with the best people” ahead of one of Wade’s concerts.
The post garnered a sparkling heart emoji from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Meredith Marks.
Eager fans will have to wait for Season 13 to see more of what’s happening in Kyle’s personal and professional life.
