We Have an Update on Bethenny Frankel’s Relationships with Kyle and Kathy (UPDATED)
The RHONY alum was spotted with RHOBH’s Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton: Get the details!
UPDATE (June 6, 8:00 A.M.): During the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards, which aired on Sunday, June 5, Bethenny Frankel was presented with the Reality Royalty award. In Bethenny’s speech, The Real Housewives of New York City alum reflected on her career, shared sweet messages for her daughter, Bryn, and her fiancé, Paul Bernon, and shouted out some of those who traveled with her on her journey.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paris Hilton presented Bethenny with the award, and Bethenny joked, “This is full circle. I took care of Paris when she was barely out of diapers. This is actually the announcement for our new reality show where Paris changes my diapers. It’s called That’s Not Hot.”
Later in the speech, she said, “Being honest, flawed, and unique is beautiful. I’m here by living truthfully and doing what’s important to me on my own terms. You have taught me so many life lessons and have been on this incredible journey with me since day one. You have given me and my daughter a life I couldn’t have dreamed of. I am grateful to you and to my team who supports me when it’s rough and exhausting and we all want to quit. Thank you to Bravo, Andy Cohen, and that first crazy and amazing cast of New York Housewives. You gave me a runway from which to soar. Success comes from working hard and solidifying relationships and a level of trust and the right people betting that you are the horse that can run the distance.”

In case you were wondering where things stand between The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kyle Richards and Kathy Hilton and The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel today, we have a little update for you. Bethenny posted some photo highlights from the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards and in a carousel of pics, she even included ones of her hanging out with the Richards-Hilton sisters, among other Bravolebs.
“This is me drowning in housewives tea…fortunately good luck comes in 3s….” she captioned the set of pics, which included photos with Lisa Rinna and Garcelle Beauvais, as well as The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga (no word on whether this topic came up...).
The RHOBH ladies were on hand at the event as they earned a Best Docu-Reality Series nomination; Teresa was nominated for Best Reality Star as well as Best Fight, along with Margaret Josephs; and Melissa was there as a presenter.
As for Bethenny, she is the recipient of the Reality Royalty award. Bethenny posted on Instagram about the honor, “The lady in red….is now reality royalty...what should my title be? We know who the pink princess is…”
Bethenny, for those who need a refresher, has a special connection with the Hilton family, having been Paris and Nicky Hilton Rothschild’s babysitter back in the day. “Paris was a boss — and she used to love ferrets and she loved animals and we used to go to the pet store,” Bethenny recalled to The Daily Dish in 2017, clip below. “And I just remember these little memories of them.”
When speaking to Bravo Insider in 2021, Kathy recalled her own memories of Bethenny acting as her daughters’ babysitter back in the day. “She was a jack-of-all-trades,” Kathy said. “She helped me cook. She helped me pick the kids up at school, whatever.”
She even shared how Bethenny was one of the people she got some advice from when she joined the RHOBH crew, noting at the time, “I actually reached out to Bethenny Frankel... Bethenny used to work for me, and she’s a friend and whatever. So she texted back, ‘Ask Kyle.’ So I was like, ‘Oh, really? OK, fine.’ Then she just reached out to me and wished me a happy Mother’s Day and was very sweet. We’re good.”
Bethenny, of course, also has a history and friendship with Kyle. While Kyle revealed she had unfollowed Bethenny on Instagram last June, she did note, “We still talk and text.” And, as Real Housewives fans will recall, they had been friends for decades and by each other's sides for some big life moments, which Bethenny reflected on in the same interview with The Daily Dish in 2017, below.
