RHOBH Blogs Play Mauricio in the Middle
Brandi is none too thrilled with "Mo," but Adrienne praises his integrity.
Seeing a husband come to his wits end with the infighting and bickering that tends to consume The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (or any Housewives franchise, for that matter) doesn't happen all that often, so when Mauricio Umansky felt it was time to drop the hammer on last night's episode, you knew things had hit the fan. But was M's stand against Brandi Glanville justified? Not surprisingly, Brandi and Adrienne Maloof have very different opinions on the motives and outcome of Operation Amazing Brains.
In Brandi's blog this week, she was expectedly nonplussed with Mo's salvo. In B's words:
All was good in the hood, until Mauricio decided to come after me for something that has absolutely nothing to do with him. He didn't nearly have all the information and in what world does a married man and a father of four daughters have a go at a single mother at a dinner party? Thank you to Ken and Lisa for stepping in and trying to put a stop to it all. I so very appreciate it, but as we have learned many of times before I can and do defend myself! Oh and listen up "Mo" no one is perfect -- not even you -- but you don't see me coming after you! Maybe it's just not my business to attack you for something that has NOTHING to do with me.
What does Adrienne have to say about it? Her blog does a nice little hat tip to Mr. Umansky:
I want to sincerely thank Mauricio for stepping in on my behalf. I admire his sensibility and his level headedness. Mauricio has always been a gentleman and the voice of reason amongst the husbands. I've heard from others that Brandi is sorry for what she said, but I have yet to hear it from her directly. If anyone should be upset in this situation, it should be me ... Mauricio thank you so much for having my back. . .Like my father, you are man of integrity. "
And for her part, Lisa Vanderpump is sticking up for her man Ken, who duked it out verbally with Mauricio during his moment. Sayeth Lisa:
Now as I remarked before in my previous blog, Ken will jump to the defense of a woman in need. Brandi was again under attack. Mauricio was chastising Brandi, and Ken was having none of it. That is a reason why I love him -- that he will always be a protector and never let someone be intimidated, especially a woman. This saga continues, engulfing us all,the group divided and nobody at this point seeing any perfect way of resolving these issues ...
And of course, Kyle Richards has her man's back, as she chimed in on her blog:
I have NEVER seen Mauricio like we all saw him in last night's episode. He is always the calm one in any situation. However, he felt strongly about the subject matter. Adrienne and Paul stopped socializing with the group after what Brandi said. Mauricio and Paul are good friends and he was hearing from Paul the pain that they were going through. Mauricio felt that a phone call would benefit Paul, Adrienne, AND Brandi. That is how he deals with problems -- directly. It would be almost impossible for all of us to get together and not have the Adrienne/Brandi issue come up. So we either don't get together at all or we do and try not to discuss it. Since this is what is going on in their daily lives, it inevitably comes up, everyone starts chiming in and we have another disaster dinner.
