Sanya Richards-Ross’ Husband, Aaron Ross, Opens Up About That Difficult Conversation on RHOA
Here’s how the new RHOA husband really feels about appearing on the show.
In the June 26 episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Sanya Richards-Ross was “dreading” having a conversation with her husband (clip below).
Sanya sat down with hubby Aaron Ross, whom she lovingly refers to by just his last name, to discuss the future of their family. Ross has made it known that he would like to give their son, Aaron Jermaine Ross II, whom they call Deuce, a baby brother or sister. But with Ross traveling so much for their car service business, Sanya told her husband that she doesn’t know if it’s the right time for them to expand their family — now or ever.
“I feel like we have this big dream for our family, and I, too, want to have more children, but I feel like it’s a dream. Like, what is realistic for the Rosses, you know?” Sanya shared while getting emotional during dinner with her husband. “I struggle with it, because I literally feel like I’m going to explode. Like, even having 10 people here, I don’t feel like I get the kind of support that allows me to be my best.”
Ross explained that the reason he travels back and forth between Atlanta and Austin for work is “to do something positive for the family.” He also said his desire to have more children is “not gonna change.”
The couple ended things on a good note, although they didn’t come to a consensus that night. “I just want you to have an open mind about it, because I do feel very strongly about it,” Sanya told Ross. “And I really want you to hear me, and I want us to really make the decision together.”
Ross shared what it was like for him to have conversations like this with Sanya on RHOA when his wife appeared as a guest and he as the bartender on the June 26 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “It was difficult at first, but I think we’re pretty raw with how we feel about certain situations and topics,” he said. “So as long as we were communicating truthfully and honestly with it, I was good.”
Host Andy Cohen then asked the couple where they stand today regarding having another child. As Sanya paused, Ross exclaimed, “Baby!”
Earlier in Sunday night’s WWHL, Ross revealed how he really feels about being a RHOA househusband, giving the sweetest response. “I’m just here to support my wife,” Ross shared. “That’s it.”
