Marlo Hampton Shares an Update About Dating: "To Be Honest, I’m Really Nervous" (UPDATED)
The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member shared why she’s “smiling” quite a bit these days and hinted at some drama in the season to come.
It’s officially peach season. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 15 premieres on Sunday, May 7. Ahead of the Episode 1 release, Marlo Hampton shared some details about the drama to come — and provided a promising update on her love life.
In an interview with ET, Marlo was asked to describe Season 15 in one word. Her choice? “I would say ‘epic,’” she replied. Playing off one of her famous catchphrases, she added jokingly: “Mm, mm, mm, the season drained me.”
The fashionista also gave an update on her love life. “I’m dating now,” she announced with a smile. She alluded to a certain spark with someone she’s seeing at the moment. “Right now I’m just having fun. I’m smiling every time I’m with them. And as [Shereé Whitfield] has coached me through this: ‘Just enjoy the moment, Marlo, have fun’ … [I’m] not putting a label on it.”
But has Marlo dated any of the same men as her castmates? Addressing the rumor that she previously dated Kenya Moore’s new beau, Roy (as hinted at in the trailer), Marlo said, “I didn’t date him. I went on a date with him. And I do have the DM… I screenshot before someone could delete it. I have the receipts.”
It sounds like there’s more to come on that direct message during Season 15. Shereé, who took the interview with Marlo, excitedly said, “I cannot wait until that moment comes up. They made such a huge deal about the DM.”
Speaking of Marlo's dating life, in an episode of upcoming episode of RHOA slated to air on June 11, she addressed how she feels about having to balance dating and her life as an aunt: “To be honest, I’m really nervous about dating. Michael and William are so used to my attention now. He’s really going to have to be that guy to come in and balance it.”

Marlo also touched on some of her friendships within the group. Addressing her current status with Kandi Burruss, she said, “I’m not sorry about anything this season with her. I do say some mean things sometimes, and I’m working on it. That’s why I have a life coach now.”
She added: “[My life coach] has shown me a lot of tools that I never even know exist. So you’ll see, there’s times when I get in certain situations and I walk off. I’m like ‘Bye.’ And then you’ll see there’s times when it doesn’t work, and I’m there… [I’m] a work in progress.”
As for her relationship with Drew Sidora, Marlo admitted that it’s still, well, a work in progress too. “That’s my problem. I’m like, look, I don’t know when you’re real or when you’re fake,” she said of Drew. “I just don’t know it. And that’s the only issue I have with you. I don’t know when it’s sincere or not.”
