The Real Housewives of Atlanta aunt had to share her nephew's latest milestone — and we can see why she's bursting with pride.
Over the years, Marlo Hampton's nephews William and Michael have made her proud on several occasions. These days, the young men are making major strides out in the world — and Michael is making a splash at high school.
In an October 22 Instagram post, The Real Housewives of Atlanta "munty" shared an update about her 16-year-old nephew's latest milestone, which saw her bursting with pride. "On Friday night, William and I escorted Michael on the field," she wrote on Instagram. "He represented the Junior Class in Homecoming Court 2023!! I’m so proud of him and full of Joy!"
The post included heartwarming photos of Michael walking across his school's football field, with his aunt and his brother on either arm. Marlo looked overjoyed in the photos, and stylish as ever in her all-black look. There were also photos of Michael standing on his own, looking dashing and so grown-up in a suit with his homecoming sash.

In addition to being high-school royalty, Michael also had a big birthday this past summer. The student celebrated his sweet 16 on June 27, and Marlo took him and his brother William to the Bahamas in honor of the occasion.
In her Instagram Stories, Marlo shared the details of the family jaunt to Baha Mar, which was every bit as fabulous as a big birthday merits. At the resort, the hotel room was filled with balloons. Michael also got a treat from room service: Outside the door was a white tray with a “Happy Birthday” message spelled out on top.
Other highlights of the tropical getaway included mingling with flamingos and splashing away at a water park. “Their happiness is my happiness,” Marlo captioned an Instagram post, which showed adorable snaps from the summery adventure.
On Michael’s special day, Marlo shared a heartfelt message for him on Instagram. Posting pictures labeled “The King of 16,” the auntie wrote: “Happy 16th Birthday to my baby boy. [H]ad no idea that I needed you in my life… but the man up above did. Michael please continue to observe every situation, make decisions for yourself, be a leader, and be authentic in a world that tries so hard to make you follow the trend.”
She added: “I will always have your back, cursing or cheering you along the way to Greatness, lol. Keep bringing home the good grades…. We love them straight A’s over here. Always be you, a crabby [C]ancer, moody, helpful, kind, thoughtful, greedy, goofy, and the calmest before the storm.”
