Kim Zolciak-Biermann and Kroy Biermann Are Divorcing
The Don't Be Tardy couple is reportedly ending their 11-year marriage. Get details.
Don't Be Tardy's Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her husband of 11 years, Kroy Biermann, are getting a divorce. TMZ first reported the news on Monday, May 8.
Kim and Kroy's Relationship Timeline
The couple shares four children together — 11-year-old Kroy "KJ" Jagger, 10-year-old Kash Kade, and 9-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren — and Kroy is the adopted father to Kim's daughters, Brielle and Ariana, who took on his last name during the legal process in 2013.
Kim and Kroy first met in May 2010 at a charity event, as shown on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 3. They went on to get married in November 2011, and fans were able to get an inside look at the nuptials with Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding, which eventually became Don’t Be Tardy.
What Kim and Kroy Have Been Up To
In the years since viewers last caught up with Kim and Kroy on Don't Be Tardy, she's continued working with Brielle and Ariana on their cruelty-free makeup line, KAB Cosmetics. Kim also still operates Kashmere Kollections, a brand focused on skin and hair care. In her spare time, Kim documents her family's adventures in Alpharetta, Georgia on her social media.
Kroy, meanwhile, in addition to being a dad following his NFL career, received the major honor of getting granted with a Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action from the Red Cross in September 2021. The award came several months after Kroy performed the Heimlich on their 9-year-old son, KJ, during a scary incident in which he choked on food. At the time, Kim wrote in-part on Instagram, "I want to thank my husband for being our hero not just these 2 days but everyday!!"
Kim's Upcoming Return to RHOA
Looking to the future, the RHOA Season 15 trailer confirmed that Kim and her fellow Atlanta OGs, DeShawn Snow and Lisa Wu, are set to make cameos on the upcoming set of episodes. Shereé Whitfield can even be seen singing a few bars from Kim's infamous song (and the inspiration for the name of her RHOA spinoff), "Don't Be Tardy."
More Details on Kim, Kroy, and Other RHOA Divorces
Kim and Kroy's divorce is the latest to come out of Atlanta following Eva Marcille and Drew Sidora both ending their marriages in March.
Eva, for her part, confirmed her split from husband Michael Sterling on March 28. “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting,” she told People in a statement. “Our children remain our biggest priority and the eight and half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
Earlier, on March 1, Drew and Ralph Pittman filed to end their marriage. The RHOA Season 15 trailer offered a preview of the relationship difficulties to come, and in one instance, the cameras flash to an emotional Drew in a confessional interview. “Are you ready to talk about Ralph?” a producer asks, to which a teary-eyed Drew responds, “Yeah.”
Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill also filed for divorce in October. And while Kenya Moore and Marc Daly confirmed their split years ago, the two have yet to finalize their divorce.
