Phaedra Parks Reveals a Pretty Major Update on Her Law Career
The RHUGT Season 2 cast member also shared an update on her mortuary career and what she wants to do next.
Phaedra Parks has always been a woman who wears many hats. In addition to being a member of the Ex-Wives Club that recently popped up on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, she is also a mom and a busy professional with a career that spans law and the mortuary business.
And when The Daily Dish recently caught up with Phaedra, she offered updates on her legal and mortuary careers. First up, Phaedra confirmed she’s still very involved in law.
“Everything is going great. I mean, the law firm, of course, I’ve been a lawyer now for, oh what, 23, 24 years? There’s always a need for the law. I’m an entertainment attorney, so I’m pretty much a dealmaker, and of course we saw with COVID that everything really went into the digital era,” she said. “A lot of us had to pivot to see how you make money for your clients during COVID, and so that was very interesting. But I’ve always been very creative with being the first, as far as thinking outside the box when it comes to making money. I really was able to thrive during COVID because of that.”
Of course, Phaedra also spends time working on her other passion, being a mortician, a side hustle she continues to pursue. “But of course, you know, with the funeral home, that is my artistic outlet where I can paint and play with science and bodies and all the nice feely things that I like to do that’s not so black-and-white like the law,” she said. “So everything is really going good. I have no complaints. No complaints whatsoever.”
The Daily Dish spoke with Phaedra about her work as a mortician back in 2016 and she revealed more about that aspect of her career, which you can hear about in the video below.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum is also looking to expand her empire. She popped up on The Real Housewives of Dubai this season not only because she is friends with Caroline Brooks but also because she has businesses “in the health field” in Dubai since she is passionate about “self-care for women, in particular, and being your best self, because I think as women sometimes we nurture everybody except ourselves.” She also noted that she is “writing down meditation books” as well and in the process of “finishing that now.”
