Cynthia Bailey Just Met Sanya Richards-Ross and Some of the Real Housewives Have an Opinion About It

Though they never crossed paths on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, everything’s just peachy between Cynthia Bailey and Sanya Richards-Ross. The women met for the first time on September 27, and naturally, their fellow ‘Wives had thoughts.

Sharing two stunning Instagram photos with the RHOA Season 14 newcomer, Cynthia wrote that she “was excited to run into this Jamaican queen today,” adding, “So nice to finally meet you [Sanya Richards-Ross].” For good measure, she also included a crown emoji.

In the comments, fellow RHOA cast member Marlo Hampton weighed in, writing “These two,” along with a red heart emoji. Meanwhile, The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Wendy Osefo commented, “Beauties,” with two heart-eye emojis, while The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Crystal Kung Minkoff added, “Stunning” with a red heart emoji.

 

 

Hours later, Sanya shared the same photos on her Instagram page. “The perfect surprise,” she wrote in her caption. “Thanks for laying the blueprint [Cynthia Bailey]. You’re as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside.” In her Instagram Stories, the RHOA cast member also shared a video from their “unexpected link up,” gushing, “I finally got to meet the Cynthia Bailey in person!”

Cynthia, for her part, commented, “So glad we finally connected, queen,” to which Sanya replied, “Me too,” along with a red heart emoji.

The RHOA alum wasn’t the only Bravoleb from the Peach State to pop into Sanya's comments though. Marlo, who Sanya later hung out with, according to her IG Stories, commented again, “2 of my favs” with red hearts, while Kandi Burruss and Monyetta Shaw also chimed in with heart-eye emojis.

Cynthia and Sanya certainly made the most of their time together, too. The following day, they both shared an Instagram Reel that they filmed together during their hangout. In lieu of actual dialogue, the duo, who were initially sitting separately poolside, shared their inner thoughts in text. “Is that the new peach?” Cynthia pondered. “I wonder what she’s doing here.”

Meanwhile, Sanya asked herself, “Is that the OG Cynthia Bailey?... Maybe I can convince her…” After the camera cut back to Cynthia and the text, “She better not be thinking about it…” appeared on screen, the Olympic gold medalist finished her thought, “TO COME BACK!!!!”

That’s when the women came together and started dancing together. “Once a Housewife ALWAYS a Housewife,” read the caption, which also included a stuck-out tongue emoji.

Whether or not Cynthia will actually return to RHOA, she recently shared in an interview with The Daily Dish where she stands with the other cast members. “Honestly, I'm in a good place with all of the ladies from my Bravo life,” she revealed. “You know, even if we're not besties, we are at least in a cordial respectful place. If I see them, I'm going to go straight to them and say 'Hello,' give them a hug. Now, are we gonna sit down and have a margarita? Probably not, but the respect is there. And that's fine. That is completely fine for me.”

Though she didn’t watch RHOA Season 14 “in its entirety,” Cynthia has stayed “up to date in terms of what's going on and what happened” by reading blogs that “always post all the juicy parts.” She continued, “It's like, a relief to actually just watch as a spectator with my wine and my popcorn and just be able to enjoy the show because after 11 years, every episode that would come up, I'd be like, 'Oh my god. Like, what is gonna happen in this episode?' Because I only know what I shoot. So, you know, it's kinda fun.”
