Reza Farahan Clears the Air on How Adam Neely Feels About Him Moving Forward with Mercedes "MJ" Javid
We have an update on the Shahs of Sunset group dynamics amid Season 9's ups and downs.
Throughout Season 9 of Shahs of Sunset, viewers have watched as Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Reza Farahan try to work toward a better place in their longtime friendship following the emotional drama of Season 8 that caused tension between them. The rift not only took a toll them as a pair, but it also affected their husbands, Tommy Feight and Adam Neely, who also found themselves in the middle of the situation.
While MJ and Reza seem to be trying to work on things, their partners have had different reactions to the matter.
This season, Reza has expressed wanting to get to a better place with MJ's husband after last year's events, but Tommy reiterated to MJ during the August 1 episode of Shahs of Sunset that he doesn't see their situation moving in the same way anytime soon, if ever. He also shared, again, his desire to not have son Shams meet Reza.
During Sunday's episode, Reza and Adam also had a heart-to heart-about the MJ situation; Adam seemed comfortable to see the old pals moving toward a more "positive" resolution and putting matters behind them.
Reza has since taken to Twitter and opened up about Adam's role in his moving forward with MJ. "My husband is so sweet, supportive and understanding," he wrote. "I love that we can have an open dialogue and talk things out as a team. We’ve really grown as a couple, put that hard work in and are seeing the results."
After responding to a fan who noted some of the drama from last season, Reza responded that "Adam isn’t standing in the way of Merc [and] I reconciling, [and] he has nothing to do with me meeting her son. That’s up to his parents."
He also shared how he and Adam have been able to grow as a couple. "Therapy has been a great tool for us," he tweeted. He added, "Adam and I picked up gardening while we were on lockdown. It’s so therapeutic."
