Raquel Addresses “Diabolical” Conversation with Ariana: “That Was So Hard for Me to Watch”
Raquel also revealed if she encouraged Tom Sandoval to break up with Ariana.
Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval’s relationship came to an end after she discovered that he had been cheating on her with Raquel Leviss, and the affair also ended Ariana’s friendship with Raquel. During Part 3 of the Vanderpump Rules Season 10 reunion on June 7, the two finally got together to discuss the betrayal that had occurred.
Ariana and Raquel’s Conversation About Tom and Ariana’s Intimacy Issues, in Retrospect
The group reflected on the conversation between Ariana and Raquel on Vanderpump Rules Season 10, Episode 14, during which Ariana sought Raquel’s advice on her and Tom’s sex life (or lack thereof), despite the fact that, unbeknownst to her, Raquel and Tom had already hooked up at that point. Host Andy Cohen called the talk seemingly “diabolical” on Raquel’s part, while Lisa Vanderpump shared a similar sentiment, noting, “[I’ve] never seen anything like that.”
Raquel agreed and admitted that the conversation “was so hard for me to watch.” At the same time, she also insisted that she was “genuinely coming from a place of ‘Do you want to be in this relationship?’”
Ariana’s response? “The answer was yes, and you had already f-cked him at that point, so shut the f-ck up.”
Raquel Reveals If She Encouraged Tom to Dump Ariana
In a one-on-one sit-down with Andy, Raquel elaborated on what Ariana had brought up about the timeline of her and Tom’s affair. “At that point, we slept together once, and he was very transparent with me in what was happening in their relationship,” Raquel explained.
Andy then asked if she “encourage[d]” Tom to break up with Ariana, to which she responded, “I encouraged him to reflect and see if he was really happy, because as a friend first and foremost, I wanted him to be in a situation that made him truly happy.”
Raquel’s Apology to Ariana
As for Raquel and Ariana’s friendship, there seems to be no coming back after everything that’s happened. Both women still said their piece, though.
“I’m so ashamed and embarrassed that I’m even capable of keeping this secret from somebody who has been in my corner since the beginning,” Raquel began. “Ariana, I’m so sorry for betraying you. I can’t even fathom the pain that I’ve caused you. I have been completely selfish — and you’re right, selfish is not the right word, because it doesn’t even begin to describe the state of mind I have been in.”
She went on to call the affair “a mistake.”
What’s more, “The way it was handled was a complete mistake,” Raquel continued. “[And] the way that we have betrayed the people closest to us was detrimental to all of our friendships. And I’m seeing all the consequences for my actions that I never even considered because I was living in the moment.”
