We Finally Know What Raquel Told Ariana in That Explosive Pre-Breakup Heart-to-Heart: “There’s No Way”

Vanderpump Rules Season 10 has had more than its fair share of memorable moments, but for Andy Cohen, Lala Kent, and Lisa Vanderpump, there was one in particular that still haunts them to this day. And it just so happened to take place on Episode 14, which aired May 10.

Said conversation involved Ariana Madix and Raquel Leviss, with the subject being — yep, you guessed it — Tom Sandoval. More specifically, the two were discussing Tom and Ariana's sex life (or lack thereof).

Raquel broached the subject, recalling a time when she confided in Ariana that she and her then-fiancée, James Kennedy, weren't having sex, and Ariana admitted that she and Tom sometimes have "dry spells."

"I feel like in a relationship," Raquel said, "you should want to have sex."

Ariana, however, argued that she and Tom "have to be emotionally intimate to be physically intimate." And at that moment, they weren't.

"You guys were emotionally intimate at one point, obviously, right? Otherwise you wouldn't get a house together," Raquel continued. "Do you feel like you're sexually attracted to him?"

"Oh my god, I think he's so f--king hot," Ariana responded. "But then I'm like, I'm not hot. You don't look at my body and go, 'Yeah that's what I want! Cellulite, fat thighs, and a big ass and big arms.'"

Raquel stepped in to give Ariana a pep-talk at that point, telling her, "I feel like a lot of it is in your own head. And that makes me really sad because I do that to myself, too. It's f-cked up. I think we're a lot prettier than we think we are, and we're own worst critics. And I think that translates into our sexual lives."

"Now that I'm single," Raquel added, "I think sex is a very, very important part of a healthy relationship."

In a confessional, she got even more candid. "I'm sure Ariana's body image insecurities have a role in the issues that Tom and Ariana are having," Raquel explained. "If you're not feeling good about yourself, there's no way you could be having good sex."

Back in conversation with Ariana, she hinted that staying in the relationship with Tom might not be the best idea. After all, "I knew that I should've broken up with James two years before," Raquel said, "because I wasn't attracted to him anymore."

Ariana's response? "I think we'll talk it out and we'll be fine."

As fans are surely aware, Tom and Ariana have since broken up after she discovered he was having an affair with Raquel. Hence, Andy, Lala, and Lisa's shocked responses to the conversation Raquel and Ariana shared on Vanderpump Rules. 

“It’s very upsetting,” Andy said of the chat, adding that it was particularly difficult to see “how [Raquel] can look in [Ariana]’s eyes and have that conversation.”

“I agree," Lisa responded, tagging Andy. "I thought and expressed at [the] reunion [that it was] one of the most astounding bits of film I’ve seen.”
