Porsha Williams Confirms She's Leaving Dish Nation

The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Porsha Williams confirmed on Thursday (August 11) that she is leaving Dish Nation after nearly a decade with the program. She shared the career news in an emotional Instagram post where she thanked her co-workers and the fans for their support over the years.

"Goodbyes are never easy, and this one is especially hard. For the past eight years, I’ve worked on one of the most fun, collaborative, exciting, and best produced shows on television. But as I continuously start new chapters in my life, it means I have to close others," Porsha wrote on Instagram. "So sadly, August 27th will be my last day at Dish Nation."

"Since 2013, everybody at Dish has been like family to me. There’s a lot of people I’ve met along this journey that I am incredibly thankful for. Whether it was on air or behind the scenes, they’ve endlessly supported my career and more importantly, my happiness," she continued. "To Fox, thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity. As well as Rickey Smiley for believing in me from the beginning! To the crew, thank you for your patience, your intelligence, and your dedication to putting together a fantastic product day in and day out. To my co-hosts, past and present, thank you so, so much. It meant the world to me to be a part of this cast of characters. You made me laugh so hard legit every day, and brought out a side of me that I needed to release. Thank you all for an unforgettable run and almost 10 years of my life I am eternally grateful for. Keep dishing! Love you. Xoxo, Pursuing Porsha."

A message was also posted to Dish Nation's official Instagram page thanking Porsha for her time on the show. "We’re so sad to see you leave our [Dish Nation] family after all these years, but we’ve also been incredibly blessed to have you as a host," the message read. "You’ve been an inspiration and beacon of light to us all, and just know you’ll always have a home here at [Dish Nation]. [Dish Nation Fam], join us as we bid adieu to our [Duchess of Decatur], [Porsha]! Her last day is August 27th so be sure to tune in every day."

Shamea Morton, Drew Sidora, and Kim Zolciak-Biermann, as well as members of Porsha's family, all left comments of love and support on Instagram after she shared the news.

"Congratulations babe. I know this was not an easy decision to make. It is rare for someone to walk away from something they’ve enjoyed doing for so long," Porsha's fiancé, Simon Guobadia, commented. "Your family at [Dish Nation] understand and support your decision, and will always love [you] and [be your] support system. I join everyone in congratulating you and watch you step into what God had ordained for your future."

Porsha's ex, Dennis McKinley, commented, "Congrats on 8 years at Dish. Your best is yet to come."

Her sister Lauren added, "Dish QUEEN."
