Patricia Altschul Is Playing Matchmaker in Thomas Ravenel's "Quest" for Love
The #SouthernCharm gent is looking for his lady.
Now that Thomas Ravenel has officially called it quits with Kathryn C. Dennis, he is single and definitely ready to mingle this season of Southern Charm. The season premiere teased that Thomas and Landon Clements could become more than just friends, but so far we've seen the Southern Charm developer continue to be a bit of a ladies' man.
Still, Thomas recently told PEOPLE that he is on the hunt for Ms. Right — and he knows that it may be a bit of a challenge to find her, given all of his past drama. “I want a woman who feels privileged to be with me because they know me and they know my character and they know that I tell the truth and I’m honest,” he told PEOPLE during a recent interview. “In this quest, given my checkered past, I think it’s going to take a special woman who’s going to be able to accept that, and I think I deserve no less.”
Luckily, Thomas has his very own matchmaker at his disposal: Patricia Altschul. “I’ve been up and down the Eastern seaboard, now I’m going up and down the Western seaboard,” he shared. “I’ve been playing polo in the desert of Indio, which is next to Palm Springs. Next I’m going to Santa Barbara, and Patricia’s going to introduce me to some woman who went to Harvard. She said, ‘She’s 35,’ and then followed up with the question, ‘Is that too old for you?’ I’m like, ‘No!’”
Thomas told PEOPLE that he's now focused on getting to know potential partners by taking long walks, for instance, instead of just chatting at the club before he dives into any sort of relationship, which he now realizes he did with Kathryn. "I didn’t really get a chance to know her. It was too late, she was already pregnant,” Thomas said before adding with a laugh, “I know now that I’m not going to get anyone pregnant, probably ever — unless they want to.”
But Thomas would consider giving 3-year-old daughter Kensie and 18-month-old son Saint Julien a sibling in the future if he found "a solid woman … someone that has a good heart, puts off a positive vibe, positive energy. I think that’s healthy for me and for the environment in which my kids are going to be raised.”
