Olivia Flowers Dishes on Her New Boyfriend and Reveals If He's "the One"
The Southern Charm-er also shared what it was like when her boyfriend met her ex, Austen Kroll.
A lot has changed in Olivia Flowers' love life since she finished filming Southern Charm Season 9.
On Season 9, Olivia has been navigating her split from Austen Kroll and her burgeoning connection with Rod Razavi, but the Charleston resident is actually now dating someone else entirely.
During a recent appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Olivia opened up about her new boyfriend, and she shared some insight into her split from Austen.
Olivia Flowers's New Boyfriend, Alex: Details
The Southern Charm cast member is currently in a relationship with a Dallas resident named Alex. Olivia's beau works in finance. "It's been seven months," Olivia shared on the podcast about how long she's been dating her boyfriend. "I didn't really talk about him much; I wanted to see how it went first."
Olivia teased that she had a boyfriend on TikTok back in October 2023, and she has slowly shared more details about him on social media.
"It was a soft launch," Olivia explained about wanting to keep her relationship status a bit more private at first. "And then I was like, 'OK, I'll do a hard launch now.'"
Though Olivia and Alex don't live in the same city full-time, the two are making their long-distance relationship work.
"I like him a lot. He lives in Dallas, which is where I'm from," she said. "It is [long distance], but he can work remote, so he's in Charleston a little bit."
When asked if she was "happy" that her boyfriend is not in the public eye, Olivia responded, "I am."
"But he also never watched the show. I made him watch it with me, and I have a video of him watching it," she said, before adding that she had him view an episode from the group trip to Auldbrass on Season 8.
As for whether she envisions him appearing on Southern Charm in the future, Olivia said that it's to be determined.
"I don't know; We haven't talked about it yet. He's very much, like, 'do what you need to do' kind of guy," she said. "It doesn't seem like he would be interested in being on, but he's very supportive. I think if there was a time where it would work or make sense, he probably would."
When asked if she thinks that Alex could be "the one," Olivia had an optimistic answer.
"So far, yeah," she said.
Olivia Flowers Reveals Where Her Boyfriend Stands with Austen Kroll
When a mutual friend of Austen and Olivia's invited them both on a vacation, the exes both said yes. Olivia brought Alex on the trip, and she recalled the advice she gave her boyfriend about interacting with Austen.
"'You don't have to be buddy-buddies,' He's like, 'I got this, it's fine,'" Olivia remembered telling her boyfriend Alex ahead of the trip. "And then, four hours later, I look and they're both driving up on a golf cart together. And I was like, 'There weren't enough golf carts at the club; y'all had to get in the same one?' But, no, it was fine."
