When we first met Dr. Nicole Martin during Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Miami — which began airing in December 2021 — she wasn't engaged or married to her partner Anthony Lopez and they were perfectly fine with that, thank you very much. While the pair always said marriage was on the table someday, they already had their adorable son and beautiful life and didn't see a need to change anything.
But an engagement came sooner than she anticipated. On New Year's Eve 2021, Anthony popped the question and she said yes, as they announced in a January 2022 People interview.
"We've talked about marriage before. I think we both knew it would happen one day. I just didn't know that day was coming so soon. It was a total surprise!" the doctor told the magazine. "It was simple and private, and nothing short of perfect."

Nicole and Anthony, who have been together since 2015, got engaged on December 31, 2021.

"It was never about being pro- or anti-marriage. It was really about just being happy no matter what," Nicole said during the Season 4 reunion, which premiered in March 2022. "I was happy before he asked. We had a great relationship before he asked. And I'm happy and we have a great relationship after he asked. And if he would have never asked? I would have still stayed with him and been happy."

Nicole's engagement ring is a 10-carat antique piece featuring a massive cushion-cut stone set on a dainty pavé diamond band.
"He knew that it was my favorite cut of diamond," Nicole told People. "I'm obsessed. The ring is elegant and sleek. I'd call it simple, but it's hard to use that word when describing a 10-carat stone."
When is Nicole Martin's wedding to Anthony Lopez?
Nicole was in no rush to get engaged, and she's not running to the aisle, either. The couple have announced no specific wedding plans to date.

"I'm just getting used to the sparkle on my hand," she told People in 2022 while announcing the news. "I'm loving every moment of my life with Anthony and Greyson. We are not rushing anything. We are focused on enjoying our engagement right now, but if I know us, it will probably be something very impromptu and spontaneous."

Nicole and Anthony share two children.
Their son, Greyson, was born in 2019 while their daughter, Genevieve, was born in March 2024 — a month before her April 23 due date.
"We love the name we chose for our son, Greyson Anthony. It’s strong and not heard too often," Nicole told The Daily Dish via email while discussing her daughter's name in March. "We wanted to stick to something that wasn’t too common, matched Greyson and started with a G. We ultimately decided on Genevieve Nicole."
