NeNe Leakes Has Some Advice for All Real Housewives
The Real Housewives of Atlanta OG says sometimes the best move is to step away.
It's not uncommon for a Housewife to leave the show for a little and return to the group a few seasons later fiercer than ever. NeNe Leakes did just that when she left The Real Housewives of Atlanta after seven seasons as a peach-holder and returned for the show's 10th season. The Georgia peach stopped by The Daily Dish podcast and explained why taking a break was important for her and which 'Wives she thinks could also use a hiatus from the show.
"After doing [the show] for so long, it can kind of pull you down," NeNe explained. "And, you know, there's a lot of arguments and a lot of negativity and then people on social media; I really felt like I needed a break."
For Ms. Leakes, the break was a good thing, and she's come back in Season 10 stronger than ever. It may be because of her own respite that she revealed there are other Housewives that could benefit from some time off.
"I actually felt like Porsha [Williams] needed a break when we were in Barcelona," NeNe said. "I actually said to her, 'You know, if this is really stressing you out, so much so, you might want to take a break for a little while."
Porsha isn't the only lady of Atlanta that NeNe thinks needs to step away from the show. NeNe admitted that she's seen Kenya Moore pull away from the group and switch focus from the ladies to being a wife and working to start a family.
"I think that Kenya has hit a wall, like, she needs a break for a little while," she said. "So I think that's where she is; she needs a break and I think she'll come back and be a lot fresher."
