The Below Deck Med yachtie admitted he "didn't really care" about the fact that Gael already had a boyfriend during Season 8.
Viewers are watching a love connection between Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher form on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9, but there's been one major obstacle coming between the deckhands: the fact that Gael already has a boyfriend.
As fans wait to find out if the flirtation between Nathan and Gael will be taken to the next level, the Irish deckhand seemed to confirm his current relationship status when he appeared on the July 8 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
To kick off the episode, host Andy Cohen welcomed Nathan and fellow guest, Joe Bradley, to New York City for the first time. He asked how the Below Deck Med Season 9 yachties were finding the New York City women.
"We went to a bar for 15 minutes, and we ended up getting numbers," Nathan said. "So, I mean, it's going alright."
Based on Nathan's comments, it doesn't seem like he's currently in a monogamous relationship with Gael these days.

Gael also teased her own status when she appeared on WWHL in June.
"I think you just have to wait and see," she said, though she acknowledged that she was "not proud" of flirting with Nathan while she was still in a relationship.

Elsewhere in the WWHL episode, the Season 9 yachtie also explained why he didn't think about the fact that Gael had a boyfriend when they first began flirting.
"To be honest, I didn't really care, and, like, when you have a connection, you can't hold back, can you?" he said about forming a connection while Gael was already in a relationship. "So, when you form a connection, think of friendship. If you bond with someone, you can't undo it. So, it didn't cross my mind, to be honest with you."
Andy also asked Nathan how Gael described her relationship with her boyfriend at first.
"To be honest, I don't remember," he admitted. "And I don't want to remember, either."
During the After Show, which you can check out in the clip below, Nathan reacted to Gael's comment that she didn't want to "explore" her connection with him on the boat.
"I mean, it's exploring," he responded. "There's no denying that it's going to get explored, so we're going to see what happens. Just tune in, you'll see."
