This Is Why Mercedes "MJ" Javid is "Hopeful" about Reza Farahan and Tommy Feight’s Future
The Shahs of Sunset cast member talks about forgiving Reza after their Season 8 drama.
While Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Reza Farahan have come to a better place during Season 9 of Shahs of Sunset following their emotional drama in Season 8, Reza's relationship with MJ's husband, Tommy Feight, remains fractured. In fact, Tommy has said that he doesn't want Reza to meet their son, Shams, amid their conflict.
When Mercedes appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday (July 11), she opened up about her take on that. "So to say what would it take from Tommy [to change his mind] is definitely a question that only Tommy can answer," she told a fan. "But every day, our relationships are getting stronger and moving forward in a better direction, so I'm really hopeful. That's what prayer is for."
While Tommy and Reza aren't quite in a better place, MJ did reveal why she and her longtime BFF were able to put the events of last season behind them. "When you're family and you go that far back, it's easy. You have to find a way to break the negative cycle," she said.
Back in May, Reza opened up about getting to a better place with MJ and what might be next for them during an appearance on WWHL, sharing, "We're learning to meet one another with our partners where we are today, here and now. I love her so much."
