Mike Shouhed Reacts to Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Reza Farahan’s Emotional Drama
The Shahs of Sunset cast member opens up about where he thinks his friends can go after their Season 9 ups and downs.
In a season filled with a few heart-to-hearts for Mercedes "MJ" Javid and Reza Farahan as they try and get to a better place after the events of Season 8, MJ and Reza continued to talk everything out during the cast's trip in the August 8 episode of Shahs of Sunset.
This Season 9 conversation focused on the pair tearfully navigating all sorts of topics in the wake of last season's highly emotional drama, which led to problems between Reza and Tommy Feight (Tommy has since told his wife that he has no interest in fixing issues with Reza and doesn't want Reza to meet son Shams).
"The punishment he is imposing is worse than anything in life, and I live in it every single day," Reza told MJ with tears in his eyes in Sunday's episode, also noting that he has regrets about the events of last season.
Mike Shouhed is, of course, friends with both MJ and Reza and was asked about his thoughts on their future when he appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday. And, he had feelings about it.
"Obviously as a Libra, I'm very emotional, so it kills me that my two best friends are fighting. Do I think they'll work their way back? Yes, it's gonna take some time," he told a fan during his WWHL Clubhouse appearance. "And both of them need to be more forgiving of each other, but it'll happen."
Previously on WWHL this season, MJ shared her take on her future with Reza. "When you're family and you go that far back, it's easy. You have to find a way to break the negative cycle," she said.
As for where things might go with Reza and Tommy, MJ said, "So to say what would it take from Tommy [to change his mind] is definitely a question that only Tommy can answer. But every day, our relationships are getting stronger and moving forward in a better direction, so I'm really hopeful. That's what prayer is for."
Back in May, Reza opened up about getting to a better place with MJ and what might be next for them during a separate appearance on WWHL, sharing, "We're learning to meet one another with our partners where we are today, here and now. I love her so much."
