Melissa King Shows a Glimpse of Her New Life on the Top Chef Judging Panel
From the looks of it, Season 18 will be full of plenty of "beautiful smiles."
Bravo’s Top Chef is set to look a lot different in Season 18 than it ever has before. For the first time ever, the judging and dining panel will be made up of some very familiar faces: All Star winners and finalists! Season 12 finalist Melissa King opened up about what it’s been like to be on the other side of the competition as a judge rather than a contestant, and from what she has shared so far, it looks like an incredibly fun experience.
In an October 13 Instagram post, Melissa shared a photo of herself enjoying some time outside with some fellow Top Chef alums from the judging panel: Kwame Onwuachi, Carrie Baird, and Amar Santana.
“The beautiful smiles that come out when you’re a @bravotopchef judge, not a contestant,” Melissa captioned the super smiley photo. Love my TC family. It’s going to be a great season.”
“SO MUCH LAUGHS,” Kwame commented on the post.
Melissa’s caption also commented on the health and safety procedures they’re following to ensure the competition can be carried out as carefully as possible amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“Disclaimer: we are under extreme quarantine together, tested multiple times a week, wear a mask every second outside of this photo, are in a bubble within a bubble within a bubble to ensure the safety of the show,” she wrote. “Any judgmental comments from people assuming they know what is happening in our lives will be blocked.”
