Does Melissa Gorga Think There's Hope for a Reconciliation with Teresa Giudice?
RHONJ's Melissa Gorga revealed why she and her sister-in-law have been feeling "happier" lately.
After years of an up-and-down relationship, sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga officially decided to press pause on being in each other's lives on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 13.
Following a difficult season, Melissa and her husband, Joe Gorga, chose not to attend Teresa's wedding to Luis "Louie" Ruelas. The in-laws were not on speaking terms by the time the Season 13 reunion rolled around.
Now, more than eight months after the dramatic reunion concluded, Melissa has offered some insight into her relationship with Teresa today, and why all parties are "happier" as a result.
Melissa Gorga Shares an Update on Her Relationship with Teresa Giudice
During January 25 episode of her podcast, On Display with Melissa Gorga, Melissa chatted with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Denise Richards about the nature of her past relationship with Teresa.
When Denise pointed out that it must have been "hard" to go through family issues in the public eye, Melissa agreed.
"It's definitely a roller coaster, up and down," she explained. However, she noted that "it's very, very different" today, because "we don't even speak to each other."
"There's almost zero [communication]," she reiterated.
In early January 2024, Melissa said something similar about how she hasn't spoken much to her sister-in-law.
"We don't even, like, look at each other," she said during an interview with ET.
"It is the new normal," she continued. "I think it just is what it is. I always say it's unfortunate. I'll never be, like, happy about that. But we're all living, and we're happy, and sometimes things just need to take its course. Right now that's definitely how it is."
Does Melissa Gorga Think She Will Reconcile with Teresa Giudice?
Now that Melissa has had some time to reflect on the state of her relationship with the RHONJ O.G., she has an unexpected perspective on where things stand.
"I think it took us a while to get to that point, to realize that this might be what it is and we need to accept it," she explained on the podcast. "I think finally everyone's breathing, we're actually all — including the other side — everyone is happier how it is right now."
Though a reconciliation may not be in their imminent future, Melissa and Teresa are now finally on the same page.
