Melissa Gorga Defends Husband Joe Gorga: He "ALWAYS Makes Time for His Father"

After years of not getting along, Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga finally put all of their drama aside and forged a positive, loving relationship in recent seasons of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. But Teresa's allegation that her brother, Joe Gorga, doesn't spend enough time with their father, Giacinto Gorga, seems to be threatening to tear this family apart once again. 

After things got particularly heated between Teresa and Melissa during last Wednesday's RHONJ (clip above), Melissa came to her husband's defense when it comes to the love and care he shows for his dad. "Tonight’s episode gives me a little Anxiety. I know you get to only watch one hour of our 24 hour day but as you watch please know this. My father-in-law is [Joe's] pride & Joy. He has never missed a day visiting him in the hospital ever," Melissa wrote. "Teresa and Joe spend countless hours visiting him around the clock. BOTH of them do."

However, Melissa noted that even if they don't see eye-to-eye sometimes, they will always be a family. "We are family and we have real disagreements and real arguments but at the end of the day we are family. We will always pull through," Melissa shared on Instagram. "There’s a couple insulting accusations tonight that put us at odds. But remember nothing means more to us than our family and it never will. Joe ALWAYS Makes time for his father more than the average son. We all love him very much." 

Teresa explained the source of her drama with Melissa and Joe this season of RHONJ during an interview with The Daily Dish earlier this month. "When you guys watch this season, you'll see it's coming from a good place. If you feel that you want to tell somebody something to help another situation, then you should voice your opinion, you should speak up and say it because if you keep your mouth shut, nothing's ever gonna get resolved," she said. "I'm sure people will relate to me in other families. Like if you keep your mouth shut and something's really bothering you, it's never gonna get fixed. But if you open your mouth and say what's bothering you and don't keep it inside, then you could resolve whatever that needs to be resolved."

Joe and his family made sure that his father had a happy Thanksgiving while visiting him in the hospital last week. "Thankful that this guy is getting better! Thankful that I can help him spray the hairspray in his hair so he looks good on Thanksgiving," Joe shared on Instagram. "He’ll be home soon."

Teresa and Joe's father has been in the hospital for the past several weeks after coming down with pneumonia and then suffering from a hematoma in his stomach. "I just pray. I just want him to be home," Teresa told The Daily Dish earlier this month. "I think he's over being in the hospital."
