Nathan Gallagher is one of several new yachties rounding out Captain Sandy Yawn's crew on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9.
Bravo viewers were first introduced to the deckhand on the May 27 premiere, and while they've gotten to know a few things about him since then, there's a lot more to learn (like the fact that he's a Gemini!) and plenty to come this season (including a potential romance with a fellow yachtie).
Where is Nathan, Below Deck Med's Season 9 deckhand, from?
Nathan hails from Burtonport, Ireland. He revealed more about his hometown in a confessional on the premiere, telling Below Deck Med's cameras, "Normally on boats, no one can ever understand me. I'm from a tiny village in Ireland of like 600 people."
What does Nathan from Below Deck Med do in his free time?
Nathan's favorite off-boat activities? "Everything to do with boats," according to his official BravoTV.com bio. That, and "traveling on my time off," Nathan said, although he's admittedly not doing a lot of exploring at the moment. "I'm currently saving for a house in Spain," he revealed, "so my time off is limited."
Regardless of where Nathan's located, there's one thing he's sure to be doing: "Making people laugh," which he named as his "special skill."

Is Below Deck Med's Nathan single?
Nathan and his fellow deckhand Joe Bradley confirmed they were both single on the Below Deck Med Season 9 premiere. But the other deckhand, Gael Cameron, couldn't say the same and revealed she had a boyfriend.
What can fans expect from Nathan Gallagher on Below Deck Med Season 9?
Based on the Season 9 trailer, Nathan's in for quite the wild ride while aboard the Mustique. For starters, despite Gael sharing that she has a boyfriend off the boat, she and Nathan can be seen getting quite close throughout the season. As Aesha Scott tells Nathan in one instance, "You and Gael were joined at the hip last night."
He brushes off Aesha's implication, though. "We're best friends, what can I say?" Nathan claims although he and Gael are later shown to nearly share a kiss.
There could be trouble in Nathan's professional life as well, because elsewhere in the Season 9 trailer, he clashes with Bosun Iain Maclean before complaining in a confessional, "Micromanaging, it's f-cking annoying."
