Gael & Nathan Share New Look at Their Post-Season 9 Relationship: "Unbelievable"
Yachties Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher are sharing new insight into their relationship now that Below Deck Med Season 9 is over.
Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron are sharing a look at their post-Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 romance on social media.
Gael took to Instagram on September 24 to share a video of the former couple's "first night" off of Mustique. In the post, Gael and Nathan can be seen scaling buildings in Greece in order to try to catch an epic nighttime view of the area.
"OK, just don't die please! I still like you," Gael tells Nathan in one moment from the video. Then once the two do make it to their viewing spot, they begin to marvel at the views.
"We did it!" Gael says.
"Gael, look where we are!" Nathan responds. "That's unbelievable"
"This is the most beautiful view in the whole wide world," Gael agrees.
In the caption of her post, Gael wrote, "First night off motor yacht Mustique... Couldn’t keep this one to ourselves[.] The climb was worth the best view in Greece[.]"
In the comments section, Nathan responded, "Legit the first 24hrs off the boat hahahahah!! Good times."
Are Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher still together?
After forming a bond on Below Deck Med Season 9, Gael and Nathan left Mustique together as a couple. However, after traveling together for six weeks, their romance ended.
"For the most part, [our time together] was really great," Gael said on the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show. "[But] I think he just has a lot of emotional maturing to do."
Why did Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher break up?
During the Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 After Show, Gael said that things began to fall apart for her and Nathan on their trip.
"I definitely started to see a different side to him..." Gael said about what it was like for the two of them after they left the boat. "A little bit of anger and a little bit of, like, stubbornness."
As for his side of the story, Nathan said that things became difficult for him and Gael once she went home to Australia.
"I just started second-guessing everything," Nathan admitted, noting that their communication became almost non-existent.
"So, I decided it was best to tell Gael, 'I don't know if it's gonna work...'" Nathan continued, though he said he told her that it could work if she ever returned to Europe for work. "Right now, the distance is difficult."
Gael had a different perspective on their split.
"He pretty much — oh, yeah, he just ghosted me," she said. She eventually reached out to him because she was "worried" that something had happened to him.
His response? According to Gael, Nathan said that he had gotten back in touch with his ex, and he wanted to explore getting back together with her.
Gael said that he later reached back out and she confronted him since she had last heard that he was with his ex. He said that he had never gotten back together with the ex.
"I didn't really believe him," Gael admitted. "If I'm being honest. Like, 'Yeah, you're full of it.'"
"He tried to make it work with me again and history just keeps repeating itself. I really wish we just stayed friends, because I think he's a great friend. I think he's someone who is awesome to be around..." Gael added. "Some people you just shouldn't date."
Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher hint that their romance may not be over
Nathan and Gael aren't dating at the moment, but Nathan said that the two "talk every other day."
He also said that he's open to the idea of getting back together in the future.
"I wouldn't rule it out. I wouldn't say it's a closed book," he said. "She'll probably say different, though."
Gael, for her part, reiterated that she wished she had just been friends with Nathan from the beginning.
