Just Wait for Margaret's Reaction to the Footage of Teresa and the Hair Pull at the RHONJ Reunion
Andy Cohen reveals what he found particularly interesting about The Real Housewives of New Jersey moment.
After a season full of shocking revelations, The Real Housewives of New Jersey saved the most jaw-dropping for last when it was revealed in the Season 10 finale that Teresa Giudice had encouraged Danielle Staub to pull Margaret Josephs' hair during the ladies' shopping event. Margaret was visibly stunned when Melissa Gorga relayed the information to the group after meeting with Danielle prior to their barbecue at the Jersey Shore. And she was just as shook on the inside, she recalled during her February 26 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "I was actually in shock," Margaret said. "I was like, no way is Teresa gonna do that. I really didn't believe it."
Teresa explained her involvement in the hair pull during an interview in the episode. "Everything was happening so fast. I was actually drinking a lot. I'm not gonna lie, I was angry at Margaret," she shared. "I never thought anybody would get hurt. I wasn't thinking."
Teresa apologized to Margaret almost immediately after the revelation came out, which Andy Cohen said he was surprised to see. "What was interesting about this for me was — and I don't want to get into what happens at the reunion when you've had time to process it — was that rare Teresa falling on her sword," he said on WWHL.
Everything about that night was "shocking," according to Margaret. "No one had any idea that that was gonna happen," she said. "Teresa was remorseful, and it wasn't because she got found out."
This isn't the last we're going to hear Teresa and Margaret talk about the hair pull. This is just one of the buzzy topics set to come up at the RHONJ Season 10 reunion, which kicks off on Wednesday, March 4 at 8/7c.
And according to Andy's tease of the reunion on WWHL, it sounds like Margaret is going to have some very different thoughts on the incident these days. "Margaret left [the finale] saying, 'I need to process this,'" Andy said on WWHL. "She had not seen the footage. She has now seen the footage at the reunion and has time to process that."
Jennifer Aydin previously confirmed that Teresa's involvement in the hair pull comes up at the reunion. "We spoke about it at the reunion, and so I don't really want to give anything away, but [Teresa] didn't even think it was going to be that brutal," she said during her appearance on WWHL on February 19. "Which, at the end of the day, I guess you could think, 'How could pulling someone's hair not be that brutal?' But she really did drag her across the room, and nobody was expecting that."
The below sneak peek of the RHONJ Season 10 reunion seems to show a little bit of what Andy means. The reunion host can be seen asking Margaret if she's been able to forgive Teresa, and let's just say their conversation about the subject is a lot less calm than it was at the Jersey Shore.
