By Allison Crist

Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll, have weathered good times and bad, ups and downs, and everything in between. But now that Madison is happily married to Brett Randle, where does she stand with her ex and fellow Southern Charm cast member today?

How to Watch

Watch Southern Charm on Bravo Thursday, December 5 at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

She revealed the answer while talking to Austen himself on the May 18 episode of Pillows and Beer, the podcast he co-hosts with Craig Conover

Madison and Austen's Current Friendship Status

Now that some time has passed since Madison and Austen put a permanent end to their on-again, off-again relationship, he said they're "in a good place together."

"Madison's married, and I'm happy for you," Austen added. "And your husband is wonderful."

Craig, who's also on good terms with Madison after she gave him a "second chance" following their dramatic showdown on the Southern Charm Season 7 reunion, chimed in to note that the progress Austen and Madison have made "is a good message for everyone out there."

"We have a lot of people that have gone through breakups and have relationship problems, and you feel like it's the end of the world right after it, but this is a perfect example of yes, sometimes it takes time, but at the end of the day, a breakup is not the end of the world," Craig continued. "And you go on to find your person."

Austen's Surprising Confession About Madison's Marriage

Believe it or not, Austen apparently predicted that Madison would get married when she did. As Madison recalled on the podcast, "It's funny, when Austen and I were like breaking up for like the f-cking 10th time, he said, 'I know what's gonna happen. You're gonna get married right after we break up.' And I looked at him I was like, 'Oh, you're crazy.' Like, there's no way. And sure enough!"

Explaining his reasoning, Austen said, "I knew that Madison, you know, she was like, 'If I'm getting married, I've already gone through it once. Like, I need the next time, if I ever do, to stick and be the thing and be the one. I just had this kind of inkling in my head."

Madison, meanwhile, noted that she "definitely wasn't looking" to get married at the time, let alone to start another relationship. "I mean, I don't mean to toot my own horn, but at the same time, I can choose to be with someone," she explained. "I already have a child. I'm successful. I don't need a man. I can do everything on my own. So when I chose Brett, it was because he made the best version of me."

How Madison's Enjoying Married Life

Craig asked Madison how different it feels to be married to someone instead of just dating them, and she said, "I mean, I feel like it's just that security of having a unit no matter what. There's no being like, 'Hey, I'm not going to check in or be there for you because I'm being selfish.' Like, there's none of that."

Madison LeCroy and Brett Randle on vacation.

As Southern Charm fans may recall, Madison married Brett in November 2022, nearly two years after she and Austen officially called it quits. During an exclusive interview with The Daily Dish, Madison opened up about her past romance with Austen and how it compared to her current relationship. She admitted that her time with Austen was “pretty fun at the beginning,” but it ultimately became too dramatic.

“I would say my relationship now is completely opposite of any relationship I’ve ever had,” she said back in January. “[Brett] has a level of respect for me and as I do for him. And I just — man, what a difference. I have not been treated so well. And I am very blessed.”
