Luis D. Ortiz's Return from Europe Is a Big "If"... for Now
The #MDLNY bachelor shares some more insight into his life after leaving real estate.
Now that Luis D. Oriz has left his career in New York City real estate behind to pursue happiness, he's certainly embracing that new lifestyle. The Million Dollar Listing New York bachelor surprised everyone when he revealed his plans to retire from the real estate field during the Season 5 finale. Currently, that means traveling through Europe. "Life is not to be rushed. Now that I'm in Europe, not knowing when will I return, I have learned that putting pressure on yourself for things to happen doesn't allow you to be present and being present is when and how you absorb and learn from what you're going through! So let's enjoy the moment!" he shared on Instagram.
After spending time in Greece, Luis will next head to Italy — specifically Pisa and the Florence region, where he revealed on Instagram he had no hotel or definitive plans once he arrived. He also shared that his return from his European vacation is currently in "if" territory.
Luis elaborated a bit more about his plans to leave real estate to The Daily Dish, revealing that he would love to pursue a career in TV and embrace endeavors that make him happy. "It was tough because first of all, I didn't know that that was what I needed to do. I always ignored that that could be a possibility because I'm at the peak of my game and doing better today than I've ever done in my career," Luis told us exclusively. "So why would I think that? But when I realized that it wasn't making me happy, it was a hard decision to make because then you say you have built a career that is a allowing you to do so well or you're doing so well, but yet doesn't make you happy — so the decision has to be which one do I choose? So I chose happiness."
