Luann de Lesseps Found the Perfect Way to Remind Us She Was a Nurse Before Joining Real Housewives
...with some help from her friends, like Lil Kim and RHONY pal Sonja Morgan.
Luann de Lesseps is a multi-hyphenate like no other. Mom, fashion designer, cabaret singer, TV personality, Real Housewife ... and, of course, former nurse. And The Real Housewives of New York City pal reminded us of her past in the health care industry this week when she stepped out for Halloween all decked out like some sexy, spacey nurse. "Me to stylist: 'I need an outfit that says nurse, pop-star and countess!'” she shared on Instagram about the look.
Luann rocked the look at a Halloween bash, which was attended by rapper Lil Kim as well as fellow Big Apple fashionista Sonja Morgan. "She has a great heart beat. [Sonja] welcome to the nurse community! #wealwayshaveagreattime," Luann added. And then she even dropped this quip whilst dressed up like a sexy nurse: "About to take care of my patients! Who needs help?"

And, yes, Nurse Lu even performed for partygoers because Lu joked, "[RHONY] and [Grey's Anatomy] had a little crossover last night ? Haha! #anursewhosings."
Luann previously opened up about her career as a geriatric nurse in 2017, noting in an interview with Woman's Day, "You know, I love people. I love to have fun. I'm an approachable person. Like I said, I have a big family and I'm very close to them. I don't bring them on the show because that's my life and they have different lives. A lot of people don't know that I'm a nurse as well. I think people think, oh, the Countess, and they have these preconceived notions that I'm this stuck-up countess—it's so not true."
Luann also broke down why she chose that field: "I grew up in a middle-class family as one of seven children. I happened to marry a French aristocrat but I had worked since I was 16 years old, babysitting and washing dishes in [a] rest home. I became a nurse because I fell in love with [the] elderly. Then I became a model, moved to Italy, and worked for Italian television. I have a whole past."
