Lisa Vanderpump Explains Her "Overly Emotional" Reaction During Her Drama with Kyle Richards
Find out why things got so intense between Lisa Vanderpump and Kyle Richards on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
It was the moment we've all been waiting for. Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump finally came face-to-face in Tuesday night's episode for an unforgettable heated conversation that we only caught a glimpse of at the beginning of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 9 premiere. See the moment, above.
In the episode, Kyle went to visit Lisa at her home, Villa Rosa, to inform her about what the rest of the 90210 squad had been saying about a story that had recently come out in Radar Online about Dorit Kemsley and the dog she and her family adopted from the Vanderpump Dog Center. Namely, Kyle said that the rest of the crew thinks that Lisa sold the story to the publication.
Lisa denied the allegation and then became extremely emotional when Kyle continued to question her about it. Both of the ladies raised their voices, and even Lisa's husband, Ken Todd, stepped in to defend his wife.
In the end, Lisa and Ken asked Kyle to leave their home, and it appeared that this longtime friendship may officially be over.
Lisa later explained why she got so upset at Kyle on Twitter after Tuesday night's episode aired. "I was probably still overly emotional, was the day before my birthday and life was challenging," she said.
The RHOBH restaurateur also noted that she was "not proud of yelling," and she thanked her husband for his support during the challenging conversation.
Kyle said in an interview during the episode that she never intended for things between her and Lisa to get so out of hand. "I want to say one more thing so I can maybe turn this around," she said of what she was thinking during her discussion with Lisa. "I never wanted it to get like this. I never imagined it would get like this."
Unfortunately, Kyle isn't so sure her friendship with Lisa will ever be the same again after this confrontation. "Lisa's gone so far with this. She's in so deep with what she said, there's no turning back," she said in an interview during the episode. "So how are we ever going to repair this situation?"
Kyle said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in February that she hasn't spoken to Lisa or Ken since that day at Villa Rosa. However, she was cautiously optimistic about the chances of her and Lisa getting their friendship back on track one day.
"I really hope so [that we can speak again someday] because I care about Lisa and we've been friends for a long time and we've been doing this for a long time," she said during an appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan in February. "You can always get back. Look at Camille Grammer: We did not get along in the beginning, now we're great, so I hope so. I honestly hope so. But, right now, it doesn't seem like that."
We'll see all of the RHOBH ladies deal with the fallout from Lisa and Kyle's conversation in the upcoming episode on Tuesday at 9/8c. Watch a preview, below.
