Lisa Rinna Responds to Sutton Stracke's Claims About Elton John's Gala
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ladies do not see eye-to-eye on a detail about this past event.
Sutton Stracke and Lisa Rinna are seeing things differently when it comes to a past event they both attended.
During Sutton's September 22 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the subject of Lisa wanting a thank you from Garcelle Beauvais for husband Harry Hamlin's sauce this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills came up. "I have a story about this though," Sutton said in regards to the topic, before suddenly saying, "No, I shouldn't tell it."
After appearing hesitant to speak any further, Sutton ultimately did decide to share the story. "A few years ago — this is really bad. OK, I'm gonna do it," Sutton said in the above clip. "A few years ago, Harry and Lisa both came, I invited them to the Elton John gala, and they came with me as my guests. I never got a thank you."
Lisa immediately took to her Instagram Stories to refute Sutton's claim. "We didn't come as your guests @suttonstracke. @eltonjohn invited us to his event, you asked us to sit at your table. So we did," Lisa wrote. "Let's just make that clear."
She then encouraged her followers to donate to the Elton John AIDS Foundation in her Instagram Stories. "We've gone to the fabulous Elton John Oscar party for years. I remember going in 2006 while I was doing #DWTS [Dancing with the Stars] and dancing the night away," Lisa wrote. "We love @eltonjohn [and] @davidfurnish. It's truly incredible all of the money they have raised for the Elton John AIDS Foundation."
When Sutton heard that Lisa had a different recollection of the invite on WWHL, she responded, "OK, see, we're gonna have words about this."
Sutton added that she had bought the table at the event where Lisa, Harry, and her other guests sat. "Perhaps they do not know that I actually bought those tickets for them," Sutton said. "So maybe that's a miscommunication."
It's too bad Lisa and Sutton already filmed the RHOBH Season 11 reunion, because it sounds like they have some more things to hash out.
Speaking of that sit-down, Sutton said on WWHL that she was surprised by the reunion. Lisa was also asked about the reunion during her appearance on WWHL last week with actress and Real Housewives superfan Sarah Paulson, who asked the Beverly Hills Housewife, "Was there anybody during the reunion you went in thinking something and came out feeling differently?"
To that, Lisa simply replied, "Yes."
