Lala Kent and Randall Emmett are making major strides in wedding planning: The Vanderpump Rules couple just set the date for their wedding!
In a video posted to Instagram Stories on May 1, Lala announced, "So anyone that wants me to do anything on April 18th, I officially can't, because that's the day I get to marry my baby. We got a date!"
That's right: April 18, 2020 is the day Lala will become Mrs. Emmett. However, this seems like it may be the farthest in the process the two have gotten. On this week's episode of The Daily Dish podcast, Lala borrowed a line from The Real Housewives of New York City's Dorinda Medley to explain how the planning process was going: "Not well, bitch."
"We'll have a date by the end of this month," Lala said during the podcast, which was recorded in mid-April. "But that's as far as I've gotten. Planning to plan the date."
As for the hold-up in planning, Lala explained, "I just think we've been enjoying our time as fiancés. My parents had a long engagement — my parents were together for seven years and engaged for a year. So for me, I've always known that you date and then you get engaged and everything's kind of a process. But Randall is ready so now I'm starting to get the fire under my butt."
It looks like Lala changed her mind on one detail, however: While she and Rand ultimately chose a springtime wedding, she said on the podcast that she was looking at a September wedding: "I've always wanted a Virgo wedding, so I really want September. I'm a Virgo, my engagement ring is a Virgo, I just love that time of year, Virgo season."
In fact, Randall, who has two daughters from a previous marriage, popped the big question to Lala during "Virgo season" at her birthday weekend in early September 2018. She previously said she had planned to get married in Miami in summer 2020, so the date has been under construction for a while now.
