Kyle Richards Shares New Details on Split from Mauricio Umansky, Including Who "Originated" Separation

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's marital problems were at the center of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiere on Oct. 25, and she revealed just how much said problems have taken a toll on their relationship during the subsequent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
Suffice it to say, Kyle and Mauricio are no longer together today.

WWHL host Andy Cohen prefaced the conversation on Kyle and Mauricio's split with an acknowledgment of how "surreal" it was to even be discussing the end of the former couple's 27-year marriage. He then followed this up by asking who was "the driving force" behind their separation.
"It originated from me, I would say," Kyle replied. "Yeah. It did."
How Kyle Richards' Family Is Handling Her and Mauricio Umansky's Separation
Asked how her family — including her four daughters, Farrah Brittany (who Kyle shares with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie), Alexia, Sophia, and Portia (who she shares with Mauricio) — is dealing with the breakup as well as "the rumors and speculation" surrounding it, Kyle responded, "When the news first came out, it was really, really devastating for the whole family. I mean, our phones were blowing up, my kids were just crying and wouldn't leave the house, and it was really, really difficult."
"But now, they're much better," Kyle continued, "and they're really strong and they're they're just so together and so smart and they've been my best, best, best friends, and I could not be more proud of them. They're just amazing human beings, and thank God I have them through this."
Kyle Richards' Reaction to Those Recent Photos of Mauricio Umansky
Feeding into the aforementioned "rumors and speculation" are recently-surfaced photos of Mauricio being out with dance pro Emma Slater.
Reacting to the snapshots on WWHL, Kyle said, "I was taken aback. That was very hard to see."
What's more, "Yes, that hurt my feelings," Kyle added. "I love him very much and we are amicable but that really did hurt me."
Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's Current Living Situation
As Kyle revealed on WWHL, the two are still living together under the same roof — just in different bedrooms. "I let him stay in the primary bedroom 'cause it's very, like, masculine," she explained. "And the upstairs floor is, like, the glam area and there's a bed."
