Kyle Richards Sounds Off on Dorit Kemsley for Sharing "Private" Text: "You Don't Do That"
RHOBH OG Kyle Richards also reveals where she and Dorit Kemsley stand today.
Dorit Kemsley revealed on Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 reunion, which aired on Feb. 28, that after months of not speaking, Kyle Richards reached out to her just one day before the taping via a lengthy text.
What's more, Dorit revealed the contents of the message — something that Kyle is now speaking out against.

Kyle Richards Reacts to Dorit Kemsley Revealing Her Pre-Reunion Text
In an Amazon Live video on February 29, Kyle unloaded on her longtime friend for sharing what she had texted her before the reunion.
“I did not know at that time that she read my text message, and that was private, and I was really shocked by that,” Kyle said. “She’s someone who I care about and her family. It’s going to take me a minute [to forgive her].”
“Honestly, I was really surprised by that,” she added. “Because in all the years of doing this show — 14 years there now — I’ve never, ever shared anything that’s been said to me off camera or a text that’s off camera, private.”

Kyle went on to note that while she's still friends with Dorit, their relationship is currently "not good."
Specifically referring to the fact that Dorit shared her text, Kyle said, "I’m not someone who likes to hold onto any anger or negativity, but I do need a minute."
“She is my friend, and I care about her and her family a lot, but you don’t do that to your close friend," she added. "You just don’t.”
There may be other reasons for the current strain on Kyle and Dorit's friendship, too, as Kyle noted, "She hurt me, [and there were] a number of things I didn’t get to say at the reunion."
Why Dorit Kemsley Shared What Kyle Richards Texted Her
Dorit first addressed Kyle's text while talking to Erika Jayne backstage at the reunion. "It was so manipulative," Dorit said of the message. "It was so calculated."
She then brought it up to Kyle herself during the reunion taping. "I know your nature," Dorit began. "If I say something that upsets you, you're a punisher, you'll shut me out. We hadn't spoken in a couple of months and then all of a sudden you text me the day before the reunion. Do you really think that I'm an idiot?"
"It felt very manipulative," Dorit added. "It's not like I'm gonna come here and try to destroy you."
Kyle argued that wasn't how she wanted her text to be perceived. More specifically, she said, "It was not meant to be manipulative in any single way."
