The RHOBH OG opened up about her marital issues with Mauricio Umansky like never before in the Season 13 finale.
And just like that, Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills wrapped up on an emotional note as fans were taken inside the events surrounding the news that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky had separated as their split began to make headlines in the summer of 2023.
After the White Party wrapped, the Season 13 finale was hardly over as viewers fast-forwarded to "one month later" and inside what happened when it was reported that Kyle and Mauricio had split in an article published in July 2023.

As the cast reacted to the headlines, and who potentially put the news out there, Kyle addressed that time in a confessional in the Feb. 21 episode of RHOBH.
"When the PEOPLE magazine article came out, I was with Mau and the girls and all of our phones just started blowing up," she recalled. "Mau was really focused on who gave the story and I was more focused on how it was affecting all of us. I saw Alexia start to cry. We got in the car, all of us, and it was this weird... like nobody knew what to do or say. It just felt like my whole life was over in that moment, the life as I knew it."
Later in the episode, Kyle was visited by Erika Jayne in the wake of the headlines, as Kyle then shares that until it went public she and Mairicio had been "dealing with things privately" as they faced marital problems.
Kyle went on to say that she was struggling with the situation and opening up about it since "there isn't one big, huge thing" that led to their split and then revealed if any cheating led to their strife. "There's literally nothing to do with anybody else. This is really just about Mau and me. It's not about our family. It's not about external family. It's not about another person on his side or my side. This is just about Mau and me."
Kyle Richards Sheds New Details on Mauricio Umansky Split
In confessional, Kyle shared that she doesn't know what the future holds for her and Mauricio and that she was still grappling with the fact that they may not reconcile or "end up together." When asked what the issues are, she said, vaguely, “There were things that happened that made me lose my trust that I wasn’t able to recover from.”
"I just want to be at peace wherever I'm at," Kyle added. "Cause I havent' really had that."
Later is was revealed that "Kyle reconciled with Kathy, making everything hunky-dory for Whitney's wedding... Kyle and Mauricio continue to live their lives separately."
