Kyle Richards Spills the Beans on Her Daughter Sophia's Dating Life
The RHOBH mom mistakenly shared the update during a livestream. And this is how Sophia Umansky reacted.
It’s confirmed. Sophia Umansky is no longer single.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter shared the update during a June 12 Amazon Live stream alongside her mom, Kyle Richards. At one point during the broadcast, Sophia was flatly asked if she was dating anyone special. The George Washington University alum initially played coy and said it was “a secret,” apparently unaware that Kyle had spilled the beans about a week earlier.
“Oh, I may have said something about it the other day,” the Beverly Hills mom confessed before taking a sip from her mug.
“Oh, OK,” Sophia said, admitting she was, in fact, dating someone. “Well, then, yeah.”
“You have to tell me those things in advance,” Kyle told her daughter.
“No, it’s not a secret,” Sophia continued. “I’m just — you know, some things are private.”

Kyle Richards reveals which of her daughters are dating
Kyle let the cat out of the bag during her June 4 Amazon Live stream, in which she a shared love life update on her other daughter Alexia Umansky. Kyle said Alexia and her boyfriend, Jake Zingerman, were going quite strong — so much so that she anticipated an engagement.
Several minutes later, another fan asked if Kyle’s youngest daughters, Sophia and 16-year-old Portia Umansky, were also dating.
“Sophia, yes. Portia, no,” Kyle said, completely unaware that Sophia had yet to confirm her dating status.
Kyle also revealed if she and her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, intimidate their daughters’ boyfriends. The Beverly Hills mom said that seemed to be the case but didn't understand why.
“People have said that we do scare them,” she admitted. “I don’t know why because we’re always nice to everybody when they come over here. But I don’t know. I think people are scared of parents sometimes.”
Kyle suggests she reentered the dating scene since Mauricio Umansky split
Elsewhere in the June 4 livestream, Kyle was asked if she was seeing anyone since her split from Mauricio. Although she didn’t outright confirm her relationship status, the ’Wife made it clear she was back in the dating scene.
“Christina asks, ‘OK here’s a big question: Are you dating anyone? And if you are would you say? LOL,’” Kyle read during the broadcast. “I say, ‘LOL,’ Christina!”
Kyle and Mauricio announced their separation in early July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Since then, Kyle has been romantically tied to country singer Morgan Wade; however, the two have consistently referred to each other as just “friends.”

Kyle shed more light on her single life during a March appearance on the Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast, revealing she was getting a slew of DMs from both “men and women.”
“I mean, it’s just so funny, but it didn’t used to be like that,” Kyle said before being asked if she was dating again. “It’s really hard to wrap my head around that but, of course, I thought about that and my friends make all kinds of jokes and stuff, you know?”
